Eugénie De Gramont
Eugénie de Gramont (17 September 1788, Versailles – 19 November 1846, Paris) was a French nun of the Society of the Sacred Heart. Life She became a member of the Society of the Sacred Heart in 1806, encountering it at Amiens. Her aristocratic mother also joined it a few years afterwards, and made her novitiate under the guidance of her own daughter. In 1815, despite her relative youth and the drawback of a slight physical deformity, Mother de Gramont was placed in charge of the first school of the Sacred Heart, opened in Paris, Rue des Postes, afterwards transferred to the Rue de Varenne. The school flourished under her care and, after a short interruption of her work by the revolution of 1830, she was sent back to govern the house as superioress and continued to do so until her death in 1846. Eugenie Söderberg (1903–1973) was a Swedish-American writer and journalist born in Heidelberg, Germany noted for her profound concern with women's issues which she addressed in her novels and short stories. Early years In 1912, her father, Alexander Riwkin, a Russian-Jewish immigrant who had studied philosophy established himself in Stockholm, Sweden, as an industrialist following a short return to the family's home town, Gomel in Russia. The Riwkin home flourished as a center for culture, attracting both established and upcoming literary figures from Scandinavia and abroad. Eugenie, the eldest daughter was encouraged by her philosopher father who was also a lecturer and writer of short stories in Russian and Yiddish. Princess Eugenie Mikhailovna Shakhovskaya ( St. Petersburg, Russian Empire), 1889 – Kiev ( Ukraine), 1920) (''Евгения Михайловна Шаховская, Yevgeniya Mikhaylovna Shakhovskaya'') was a Russian Empire pioneering aviator. She was the first woman to become a military pilot when she flew reconnaissance missions for the Tsar in 1914. She started taking flying lessons in 1911, and was awarded her flying licence in 1912. Eugenie Carol Scott (born October 24, 1945) is an American physical anthropologist, a former university professor and educator who has been active in opposing the teaching of young Earth creationism and intelligent design in schools. She coined the term "Gish gallop" to describe a fallacious rhetorical technique which consists in overwhelming an interlocutor with as many individually-weak arguments as possible, in order to prevent rebuttal of the whole argument. From 1986 to 2014, Scott served as the Executive Director of the National Center for Science Education, a nonprofit science education organization supporting teaching of evolutionary science. Eugenie Schwarzwald
Eugenie Schwarzwald, (née Nußbaum) (4 July 1872, in Polupanivka near Zbruch River in Austria-Hungary (now Ternopil Raion, Ukraine)) and died on 7 August 1940, in Zurich, founded the innovative Schwarzwald school. A progressive Austrian philanthropist, writer and pedagogue, she developed education for girls in Austria and was one of the most learned women of her time. Eugénie Lee Hunsicker is an American mathematician who works at Loughborough University in England as a senior lecturer in pure mathematics and as director of equality and diversity for the school of science. Her research in pure mathematics has concerned topics "at the intersection of analysis, geometry and topology"; she has also worked on more applied topics in data science and image classification. Education and career Hunsicker grew up in Iowa City, and was inspired to do mathematics in part by a high school teacher who was married to a mathematics professor at the University of Iowa.
