Charles Eugène Sauzay (14 July 1809 – 24 January 1901) was a French violinist and composer. Life Sauzay was born in Paris in 1809, and in 1823 he began studying at the Paris Conservatoire. During his time there, he was a pupil of the violinist Pierre Baillot and Anton Reicha. He won several prizes and went on to become a member of Baillot's string quartet. Joachim du Bellay (; – 1 January 1560) was a French poet, critic, and a founder of the Pléiade. Charles of Orléans (24 November 1394 – 5 January 1465) was Duke of Orléans from 1407, following the murder of his father, Louis I, Duke of Orléans. He was also Duke of Valois, Count of Beaumont-sur-Oise and of Blois, Lord of Coucy, and the inheritor of Asti in Italy via his mother Valentina Visconti. Clément Marot (23 November 1496 – 12 September 1544) was a French Renaissance poet. Biography Youth Marot was born at Cahors, the capital of the province of Quercy, some time during the winter of 1496–1497. His father, Jean Marot (c. 1463-1523), whose more correct name appears to have been des Mares, Marais or Marets, was a Norman from the Caen region and was also a poet. Jean held the post of ''escripvain'' (a cross between poet laureate and historiographer) to Anne of Brittany, Queen of France. Clément was the child of his second wife. Nine months in Poland satisfied the civilized Desportes, but in 1574 his patron became king of France as Henry III.
