Eugeniusz Kłopotek
Eugeniusz Kłopotek (born 15 November 1953 in Chojnice, Poland) is a Polish politician who is a member of the Sejm of Poland (1997-2005 and since 2007), member of the European Parliament (2004) and member of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Regional Assembly (2006-2007). Between 1982 and 1988 he was a Head of Gmina Warlubie ( pl, Naczelnik Gminy Warlubie); currently Vogt (''Wójt''). Until 1990, he working in Bydgoszcz Voivodeship Office as vice-director of the Department of Agriculture. Between 1994 and 1997 he was a vice-voivode of Bydgoszcz Voivodeship (''Wicewojewoda Bydgoski''). After the 1997 Polish parliamentary election he was elected a member of the Sejm III term. In 2001 Polish parliamentary election he was started to the Sejm IV Term from 4 Bydgoszcz district. He was the best polled on the Polish People's Party (PSL) list and was elected to the Sejm. In European elections, Kuyavian-Pomeranian () is a constituency of the European Parliament. It consists of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. Nomenclature The relevant Polish legislation ("The Act of 23 January 2004 on Elections to the European Parliament") establishing the constituencies does not give the constituencies formal names. Bydgoszcz ( , , ; german: Bromberg) is a city in northern Poland, straddling the meeting of the River Vistula with its left-bank tributary, the Brda. 2009 European Parliament Election In Poland
The 2009 European Parliament election in Poland was the election of the delegation from Poland to the European Parliament in 2009 which took place on 7 June 2009. On 13 February the Sejm (the lower house of the Polish parliament) accepted a proposal for an amendment to the electoral court act to allow voting for the European Parliament election of 2009 to take place over 2 days i.e. the 6 and 7 June 2009. However, on 5 March, the proposal was referred to the Constitutional Tribunal of the Republic of Poland by the Polish President, Lech Kaczyński. The Polish electorate elected 50 MEPs. In the 27 EU Member States, at total of 736 MEPs were elected from 4–7 June 2009. The 2006 Polish local elections were held in two parts. with its first round on November 12 and the second on November 26, 2006.
