Eugene Semple
Eugene Semple (June 12, 1840 – August 28, 1908) was an American politician who served as the 13th Governor of Washington Territory and the unsuccessful United States Democratic Party, Democratic candidate to be the first governor of Washington (U.S. state), Washington State. Early life Eugene Semple was born in Bogotá, Colombia, on June 12, 1840, to then minister to the Republic of New Granada, James Semple.Corning, Howard M. (1989) ''Dictionary of Oregon History''. Lake Washington
Lake Washington is a large freshwater lake adjacent to the city of Seattle. It is the largest lake in King County and the second largest natural lake in the state of Washington, after Lake Chelan. It borders the cities of Seattle on the west, Bellevue and Kirkland on the east, Renton on the south and Kenmore on the north, and encloses Mercer Island. Elliott Bay is a part of the Central Basin region of Puget Sound. It is in the U.S. state of Washington, extending southeastward between West Point in the north and Alki Point in the south.
