Euan McLaren
Euan is a Scottish, male given name, most common throughout the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia, due to the influence of Scots in both nations. It is a derivative of the Pictish name, Uuen (or 'Wen'), which is the Pictish British cognate of in Gaelic. It is also, less commonly, a surname. The name Euan comes from Greek and Hebrew: (; the New Testament in Greek has ''St. John's Gospel'' as ) which in turn comes from the Hebrew , 'God is gracious'. The English equivalent of the name is "John", but the Scottish "Euan" is very close in sound to the original Greek. Pictish
Pictish is the extinct language, extinct Brittonic language spoken by the Picts, the people of eastern and northern Scotland from Late Antiquity to the Early Middle Ages. Virtually no direct attestations of Pictish remain, short of a limited number of toponymy, geographical and anthroponymy, personal names found on monuments and the contemporary records in the area controlled by the Picts#Kings and kingdoms, kingdoms of the Picts, dating to the early medieval period. Euan Dale
Euan Dale (born 18 December 1985) is a Scottish competitive swimmer who has represented Great Britain in the Olympics and Scotland in the Commonwealth Games. At the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, he was a member of the second-place Scottish men's team in the 4×200-metre freestyle relay, for which he won a silver medal. Individually, Dale won a silver in the men's 400-metre individual medley. At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, he competed in the 400-metre individual relay swimming event. Euan Burton
Euan Michael Burton MBE (born 31 March 1979) is a Scottish judoka (a Judo practitioner). Biography Burton was born in Ascot, Berkshire but lives in Edinburgh, he was educated at Pencaitland Primary School, Ross High School and the University of Edinburgh. He was an Individual Bursar in 1998-99 at the University. He won the Scottish National Championship in 2000 before winning his first two championships of Great Britain, winning the half-middleweight division at the British Judo Championships in 2002 and 2003. Euan Ernest Richard Uglow (10 March 1932 – 31 August 2000) was a British painter. He is best known for his nude and still life paintings, such as ''German Girl'' and ''Skull''. Biography Euan Uglow was born in 1932 in London. As a child, he lived in Tulse Hill in south London, where his father was an accountant. Uglow went to the local grammar school in Tulse Hill, Strand School. Euan Douglas George Morton (born Iain Middleton on 13 August 1977) is a Scottish actor and singer. He is best known for his role as Boy George in the musical ''Taboo'', receiving nominations for the Laurence Olivier Award and Tony Award for his performance. Euan Macleod
Euan Macleod (born 1956) is a New Zealand-born artist. Macleod was born in Christchurch, New Zealand and moved to Sydney, Australia in 1981, where he lives and works. He received a Certificate in Graphic Design from Christchurch Technical College in 1975 and a Diploma in Fine Arts (Painting) from the University of Canterbury in 1979. As well as pursuing his art he also teaches painting at the National Art School in Sydney. Style Macleod deals mostly with landscapes and the human presence within it. Euan Lloyd (6 December 1923 – 2 July 2016) was a British film producer. Biography He began his career directing short travelogue documentaries, starting with '' April in Portugal'' in 1954 (not released until 1956). He worked in publicity, giving away Anita Ekberg at her wedding to Anthony Steel. Lloyd befriended Alan Ladd while making ''The Red Beret'' (1953) and Ladd gained Lloyd a job on production for Warwick Productions. He worked for that company for several years, then went to work for Carl Foreman. Lloyd's first credit as producer came when Richard Widmark, with whom he had made ''A Prize of Gold'' (1955), asked him to co produce ''The Secret Ways'' (1961).
