Ethienne Reynecke (born 20 March 1982) is a South African rugby union player. His primary position is hooker. Career Lions He started his career playing for the and represented them at Under–19, Under–21 and 'A' team level. At the end of 2001, after his second year representing the Under–19 team, he was included in the pre-season training squad for the 2002 Vodacom Cup, following it up with appearances in the 2003 and 2004 seasons. He was also part of the Currie Cup training squad in 2004, playing all the warm-up games. Griffons In 2005, he joined Welkom-based side for one year, being involved in their Vodacom Cup and Currie Cup campaigns. Return to Lions He returned to the Golden Lions at the end of 2005. The Vodacom Cup was an annual rugby union competition in South Africa. Annual Vodacom Cup competitions were played between its inaugural season in 1998 and 2015 and was contested between February and May each year. The Vodacom Cup was the successor of the Bankfin Nite Series which was played in 1996 and 1997. Mobile communications provider Vodacom was the title sponsor for the entire duration of the competition. The competition was the third most prestigious in South African rugby, behind Super Rugby and the Currie Cup. The United Rugby Championship (URC) is an annual rugby union competition involving professional teams from Ireland, Italy, Scotland, South Africa, and Wales. Christiaan Rudolph Liebenberg (born 18 December 1981) is a South African professional rugby union player who played as a hooker. He started his career at the in 2002 before joining the following year. He made 64 appearances for the Kimberley-based side between 2003 and 2006 and also played Super Rugby for the in 2006. He then played the remainder of his career in Cape Town, where he played domestic rugby for and Super Rugby for the . He also had a short spell at French Top 14 side in 2009. He made his international debut for South Africa on 1 December 2007 against the Barbarians in London, aged 25. Super Rugby is a men's professional rugby union club competition involving teams from Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands.
