It is used mostly for football matches and hosts the home matches of Fluminense, America Football Club and Nova Iguaçu. The 2016 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A was the 60th season of the Série A, the top level of professional football in Brazil, and the 13th edition in a double round-robin since its establishment in 2003.
