Urve Uusberg
Urve Uusberg (born Urve Piho; 5 January 1953) is an Estonian conductor and psychologist who founded and conducted the choir studio Riinimanda. Uusberg was born in Tartu. She graduated from the Tallinn Pedagogical Institute with a degree in choir conducting in 1975 and from the Tartu State University with a degree in psychology in 1983. In 2004, she defended her master's degree in psychology at the University of Tartu. Shas has also trained as a psychotherapist at the Estonian-Danish Gestalt Institute. Terminaator
Terminaator () is an Estonian rock group formed in 1987 by Arno Veimer and Jaagup Kreem in Tallinn 10. High School (today known as Nõmme Gymnasium). Kreem was in the 7th grade then. The first public performance was in Tallinn 47. High School in the schoolbands' festival. The first time in the studio was in 1989. First songs "Charleen" and " Meeletu maailm" were recorded in 1991. They found wider fame in 1992, when they won the festival of young bands Rock In. They have also performed in Latvia, Lithuania and Finland, although they have not had much success outside of Estonia. Ahti Heinla (born 2 May 1972) is an Estonian computer programmer and businessman. He is one of the developers of Skype. He was also an organizer of Let's Do It 2008, a civic action with 50,000 volunteers participating in cleaning up the countryside of Estonia in one day. The Estonian Wikipedia ( et, Eestikeelne Vikipeedia) is the Estonian version of Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, started on 24 August 2002. As of , the edition has about articles. On 7 December 2008 Estonian Wikipedian Andres Luure was one of fifteen individuals recognized for volunteerism in Estonia for 2008. In 2013 he received Order of the White Star for his contributions to Wikipedia. The first article competition was held in spring 2009 and first photo competition in summer 2010. Andres Luure
Andres Luure (born 22 May 1959, in Tallinn) is an Estonian philosopher and translator, and a researcher at Tallinn University. Luure graduated from the Moscow State University in 1983, majoring in mathematics. In 1998, he successfully defended his MA thesis titled "A combinatorial model of referring". In 2006, he successfully defended his Ph. D. thesis titled "Duality and sextets: a new structure of categories" in semiotics at the University of Tartu. Luure has translated philosophical works into Estonian, including titles by Ludwig Wittgenstein, Jürgen Habermas and Gilbert Ryle. Let's Do It 2008
Let's do it 2008 ( et, Teeme ära 2008) was a large campaign on 3 May 2008, to activate civic society in Estonia in an effort to cleanup the country from litter. It was organized by Let's Do It! World. Preparation The litter pickup spots were marked by volunteers beforehand who used mobile phones to record the locations to a mapping system similar to Google maps. locations were recorded in total. Cultural figures, such as Jaan Tätte and Jarek Kasar , helped promote the campaign by participating in televised advertisements. Over partners helped during the cleanup organization process. Volunteers registering to the cleanup were asked to form 3-15 member teams, with each team receiving instructions before the cleanup day via e-mail. Cleanup Over people, or approximately 4% of the population of 1.3 million, participated in the cleanup of the forests and countryside.
