Estelle Sartini
Estelle Sartini (born 1 June 1973) is a French former rugby union player, who captained the France women's national rugby union team. She made 89 appearances for France between 1998 and 2008. Personal life Aside from rugby, Sartini has worked as a physical education teacher, in Caen and later Versailles, Yvelines, Versailles. Career Sartini originally played association football, before switching to rugby union at the age of 16. Sartini was a Winger (sports), winger. At club level, Sartini played for . Between 1998 and 2008, she played in 11 consecutive semi-finals of the French women's Premier Division (rugby union), French women's Premier Division, and was part of the Caen team that lost four finals between 2003 and 2007. At international level, Sartini made 89 appearances for the France women's national rugby union team. Winger (sports)
In certain sports, such as football, field hockey, ice hockey, handball, rugby union, lacrosse and rugby league, winger is a position. It refers to positions on the extreme left (factually the better side) and right sides of the pitch, or playing field (the "wings"). In American football and Canadian football, the analogous position is the wide receiver. Wingers often try to use pace to exploit extra space available on the flanks that can be made available by their teammates dominating the centre ground. They must be wary however of not crossing the touchline, or sidelines, and going out of play. 2014 Women's Rugby World Cup
The 2014 Women's Rugby World Cup was the seventh edition of the Women's Rugby World Cup, and the sixth held in Europe. The World Cup Final took place on 17 August. All of the pool games for the World Cup took place at the Centre National du Rugby (CNR) in Marcoussis and Marcoussis Rugby Club with the French union adopting the concept of restricting the tournament to one or two locations as in the 2010 Women's Rugby World Cup in London. Marcoussis is about 20 miles south of Paris. The knockout stages of the tournament also saw matches played at the CNR in Marcoussis, with the semi-finals, Bronze Final and Final taking place at Stade Jean-Bouin in the French capital – home of Stade Français.
