Estela Rodríguez
Estela Rodríguez Villanueva (17 November 1967 – 10 April 2022) was a Cuban judoka. She won silver medals at the 1992 and 1996 Summer Olympics, both in the Half Heavyweight (over 72 kg) category. She returned a positive test to banned diuretic drug called furosemide Furosemide is a loop diuretic medication used to treat fluid build-up due to heart failure, liver scarring, or kidney disease. It may also be used for the treatment of high blood pressure. It can be taken by injection into a vein or by mouth ... at the 1996 Olympics, but was only issued with a reprimand, and allowed to keep her medals. Furosemide
Furosemide is a loop diuretic medication used to treat fluid build-up due to heart failure, liver scarring, or kidney disease. It may also be used for the treatment of high blood pressure.
