Jaime Yusept Espinal Fajardo (born October 14, 1984) is a Dominican-born Puerto Rican freestyle wrestler. In 2012 he became the first Olympic medalist in wrestling for Puerto Rico by winning a silver medal in the 84 kg division. Early years and education Espinal was born to Jaime Felix Espinal and Alejandrina Fajardo Hernández. He has two siblings: Stanley and Rosemary. When he was 5 years old, his family moved to Puerto Rico. Espinal studied at the Baptist College and then Gabriela Mistral High School. He began wrestling when he was nine years old when coach Pedro Rojas approached him and other kids and invited them to Club Sparta in Río Piedras along with Franklin Gómez. José Espinal
José Elpys Espinal Marte (born 14 November 1982) is a Dominican former footballer who played as a forward. He also holds Italian citizenship. He is the twin brother of Vinicio Espinal. Career Along with his twin brother Edwards Vinicio Espinal, both started their career at Atalanta. José left for Serie C1 clubs from 2001 to 2003 and from 2003 to 2005 played at Serie D clubs. He played all 4 matches in promotion playoffs 2005, and scored 5 goals. In 2005, he returned to professional football for Sanremese at Serie C2. In the next season he signed for Novara of Serie C1. Luís Espinal Camps (1932–1980), also known by the nickname "Lucho" and by the Catalan name Lluís Espinal i Camps, was a Spanish Jesuit priest, poet, journalist, filmmaker, and film critic. Biography Born on 2 February 1932 in Sant Fruitós de Bages, Catalonia, Spain, Espinal aspired to be a priest since he was a child. Espinal was educated at the minor seminary of San Jose in Roquetes, Baix Ebre between 1944 and 1949. He joined the Society of Jesus of Veruela, Zaragoza in 1949, made his perpetual vows in 1951, and studied Humanities and Greco-Roman Literature (1951–53) there. He studied Philosophy at the Facultad Eclesiástica of San Cugat del Vallés from 1953 to 1956. Rafael L. Espinal Jr. (born June 30, 1984) is an American politician and non-profit executive. A Democrat, he represented the 37th district of the New York City Council, which includes portions of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brownsville, Bushwick, Crown Heights, Cypress Hills, and East New York in Brooklyn. Ramón Tapia Espinal (March 29, 1926 – March 24, 2002) was a lawyer and political figure from the Dominican Republic. He served as Secretary of Industry and Commerce and Secretary of State, for President, Rafael Bonnelly, during the Council of State (1961-1963) which succeeded the overthrow of the dictator Rafael Leónidas Trujillo in 1961. Espinal was born in La Vega Province. After his time in Bonnelly's government, he served as a member of the triumvirate, a three-man civilian executive committee, established by the military after the overthrow of President Juan Bosch in 1963; originally with Emilio de los Santos and Manuel Enrique Tavares Espaillat, and later with Donald Reid Cabral and Espaillat. Santiago Roman Espinal (born November 13, 1994) is a Dominican professional baseball infielder for the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball (MLB).
