España Boulevard
España Boulevard is an eight–lane major thoroughfare in Manila, the capital city of the Philippines, named after Spain, the country that formerly held the Philippines as an overseas territory. True to its name, several Spanish names abound the street. It starts at the Welcome Rotonda near the boundary of Quezon City and Manila and ends with a Y-intersection with Lerma and Nicanor Reyes Streets in Manila. History Before becoming what it is today, the boulevard was a part of the Hacienda de Sulucan, one of the ten barrios which formed Sampaloc. In 1694, the hacienda was donated to the sisters of the Monasterio de Santa Clara. In 1905, it was turned over to the Sulucan Development Corporation. Manila Memorial Park – Sucat
The Manila Memorial Park – Sucat (MMP–Sucat) is a cemetery situated along Dr. A. Santos Avenue (Sucat Road) in Parañaque, Metro Manila, Philippines. History The Manila Memorial Park in Parañaque was established in 1964 when the city was still a municipality of Rizal province. In August 1985, it became the first cemetery to host a modern crematorium in a memorial park setting, having been established a year after Pope Paul VI lifted the ban on cremation for Catholics. The cemetery became part of a larger network of burial sites of Manila Memorial Park, Inc. with five other cemeteries under the Manila Memorial Park brand opened in other parts of the Philippines. Benigno "Ninoy" Simeon Aquino Jr., (; November 27, 1932 – August 21, 1983) was a Filipino politician who served as a senator of the Philippines (1967–1972) and governor of the province of Tarlac. Aquino was the husband of Corazon Aquino, who became the 11th president of the Philippines after his assassination, and father of Benigno Aquino III, who became the 15th president of the Philippines. Andres Bonifacio Avenue, also known as A. Bonifacio Avenue, is a national secondary road connecting the North Luzon Expressway and Epifanio de los Santos Avenue at Balintawak Interchange in Quezon City and Blumentritt Road at the city's boundary with Manila in a north–south direction. Quezon Memorial Circle
The Quezon Memorial Circle is a national park located in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. The park is located inside a large traffic circle in the shape of an ellipse and bounded by the Elliptical Road and is the main park of Quezon City (which served as the official capital of the Philippines from 1948 to 1976). Its main feature is a tall mausoleum containing the remains of Manuel L.
