Espanto III
Miguel "Miguelito" Vázquez Bernal (February 11, 1940 – December 8, 1996), was a Mexican ''luchador'' or professional wrestler known under the ring name Espanto III ("Terror 3"). During his career in ''lucha libre'' he formed a long running, successful trio known as '' Los Espantos'' ("The Terrors") with his brother José Eusebio Vázquez Bernal (known as Espanto I) and Fernando Cisneros Carrillo (Espanto II). ''Los Espantos'' was one of the first examples of an identical trio, where all three members of the team used the same name, mask and wrestling gear only distinguished by a number. After his retirement he trained his sons for a professional wrestling career, and the later followed in his footsteps as Espanto IV and Espanto V. Manuel Alfonso Andrade Oropeza (born November 3, 1989) is a Mexican professional wrestler who is currently signed to the American promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW) under the ring name Andrade El Idolo (also stylized Andrade "El Ídolo"). He is also known for his appearances in Mexico for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre and in Japan for New Japan Pro-Wrestling as La Sombra (Spanish for "The Shadow"), and for his appearances with the United States-based promotion WWE as Andrade "Cien" Almas (later shortened to simply Andrade). A third-generation professional wrestler, Andrade made his debut a month before his 14th birthday and worked under the name Brillante Jr. in reference to his father, who wrestled as Brillante. Masked Wrestlers
A wrestling mask is a fabric-based mask that some professional wrestlers wear as part of their in-ring persona or gimmick. Professional wrestlers have been using masks as far back as 1915 and they are still widely used today, especially in Lucha Libre in Mexico. History At the 1865 World's Fair, Theobaud Bauer debuted the mask, wrestling as "The Masked Wrestler" in Paris, France. He continued wrestling using the mask throughout France as part of a circus troupe in the 1860s before moving on to the United States in the early 1870s. In 1915, Mort Henderson started wrestling as the "Masked Marvel" in the New York area making him the first North American wrestler to perform with such a gimmick. A house show or live event is a professional wrestling event produced by a major promotion that is not televised, though they can be recorded. Promotions use house shows mainly to cash in on the exposure that they and their wrestlers receive during televised events, as well as to test reactions to matches, wrestlers, and gimmicks that are being considered for the main televised programming and upcoming pay-per-views. House shows are entire events and not the same as dark matches—untelevised matches that occur as part of an event that was already being televised. House shows are also often scripted to make the face wrestlers win most matches, largely to send the crowd home happy. If a heel defends a title, the face may win by disqualification, preventing the title from changing hands. In professional wrestling, the independent circuit or indie circuit is the collective noun, collective name of independent professional wrestling promotions which are smaller than major televised promotions. It is roughly analogous to a minor league for pro wrestling, or community theatre, community or Regional theatre in the United States, regional theatre. Specific promotions on the independent circuit are referred to as indie promotions or indies. Martín Rodríguez (April 24, 1968 – October 12, 2020), better known by the ring name Espantito (Spanish for "Little Terror" or "Little Scare"), was a Mexican ''luchador enmascarado'' (or masked professional wrestler) working in the ''Mini-Estrella'' ("Mini-Star") division. Working in the ''Mini-Estrella'' division does not automatically mean that Espantito had dwarfism as several wrestlers who are just shorter in stature work in the "Mini" division. As a ''luchador enmascarado'', Espantito's real name was not a matter of public record, but it was revealed upon his death in 2020. Mini-Estrella
The term ''Mini-Estrella'' (Spanish for "Mini-Star") is used in lucha libre to describe a division of short professional wrestlers or ''luchadors'', some of whom have dwarfism. The Mexican ''Mini-Estrellas'' is comparable to Midget wrestling practiced around the world, but with the notable exception that some of the ''Mini-Estrellas'' do not have dwarfism but are simply short. Some ''Mini-Estrellas'' have later on moved on to work as regular sized competitors. The ''Mini-Estrellas'' have been featured in several promotions outside Mexico, most notably World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). Los Hijos Del Espanto
''Los Hijos del Espanto'' (Spanish for "the Sons of Espanto") is a Mexican professional wrestling tag team who has primarily worked as a ''rudo'' (term used for wrestlers who portray the "Bad guys") team consisting of El Hijo del Espanto I and El Hijo del Espanto II. While their names indicate that they are supposedly sons of one of '' Los Espantos'', they are not related to either Espanto I, Espanto II or Espanto III but were instead given the rights to use the names by Espanto II. ''Los Hijos del Espanto'' are brothers, with Hijo del Espanto II being the older brother, but since the younger brother started to use the name first the older brother was designated as "Hijo del Espanto II".
