Esa Erkki Piironen (born 25 October 1943 in Turku) is a Finnish architect. He studied architecture at Helsinki University of Technology, qualifying as an architect in 1970. He studied architecture and urban design in North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, and was awarded the Master of Architecture in 1972. Finns
Finns or Finnish people ( fi, suomalaiset, ) are a Baltic Finnic ethnic group native to Finland. Turku ( ; ; sv, Åbo, ) is a city and former capital on the southwest coast of Finland at the mouth of the Aura River, in the region of Finland Proper (''Varsinais-Suomi'') and the former Turku and Pori Province (''Turun ja Porin lääni''; 1634–1997). Helsinki University of Technology (TKK; fi, Teknillinen korkeakoulu; sv, Tekniska högskolan) was a technical university in Finland. It was located in Otaniemi, Espoo in the metropolitan area of Greater Helsinki. The university was founded in 1849 by Grand Duke of Finland, Emperor Nicholas I and received university status in 1908. It moved from Helsinki to Otaniemi campus area in 1966. Greta Skogster
Greta Skogster (from 1935 Skogster-Lehtinen; 1900–1994) was a Finnish textile artist, notable as the leading designer of the 1930-40s and a pioneer of modern textile design in Finland. Education After graduating from the Swedish-language secondary school ''Svenska samskolan i Tavastehus'' in Hämeenlinna, Skogster was encouraged, at age 15, by a family friend, the architect and painter Armas Lindgren, to study design drawing and draughtsmanship at the Central School of Industrial Design (''Taideteollisuuskeskuskoulu'') in Helsinki, now part of the Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture. William Lehtinen
Uuno Wilhelm "William" Lehtinen (1895—1975) was a Finnish forester and business executive, most notable for his long career at the Finnish state-owned forestry and paper company Enso-Gutzeit (now part of Stora Enso), which he steered to become the largest manufacturer of paperboard in Europe. Education Lehtinen graduated from secondary school in 1916. He obtained a degree in forestry management from the University of Helsinki in 1923, followed by postgraduate studies at Yale University, from where he graduated with a Master of Forestry in 1926.
