Erzsi Paál
Erzsi Paál (1912–1973) was a Hungarian stage actress, who also appeared in several films. She was born Erzsébet Polacsek in Lugoj, then in the Austro-Hungarian Empire but subsequently ceded to Romania, to Hungarian parents. After establishing herself in as a soubrette in Budapest, she moved to Italy and appeared at the Teatro Eliseo in Rome and the Teatro Odeon in Milan. She also starred alongside comedian Totò in his debut film ''Fermo con le mani'' in 1937.Pistolese p.79 She married the actor John Bartha, a fellow Hungarian who was also based in Italy. Lugoj
Lugoj (; hu, Lugos; german: Lugosch; sr, Лугош, Lugoš; bg, Лугож; tr, Logoş) is a list of cities and towns in Romania, city in Timiș County, Romania. The Timiș River divides the city into two halves, the so-called "Romanian Lugoj" that spreads on the right bank and the "German Lugoj" on the left bank. ''Hands Off Me!'' () is a 1937 Italian " white-telephones" comedy film directed by Gero Zambuto.Moliterno p.179 The film is notable for being the screen début of Totò. Its most famous scenes include one in which he tries to give a haircut to a bald man; another one where he fishes from the fishmonger's counter (this scene was repeated in '' Cops and Robbers'' and '' Toto in Paris'') and also the scene in which he holds a broom, using it as a gun (shooting in "Figaro here, Figaro there"). The scene involving the conductor was also repeated in many subsequent films. It was shot at the Safa Palatino Studios in Rome. János Bartha (6 February 1915 – 1991), better known as John Bartha, was a Hungarian film actor who appeared primarily in Spaghetti Westerns in the 1960s and 1970s. He is probably most recognizable in western cinema for his role as the Sheriff who captured Tuco in the 1966 Sergio Leone film, ''The Good, the Bad and the Ugly''. He made nearly 80 appearances in film between 1951 and 1981. Bartha died in 1991.
