Eryck Abecassis
Eryck Abecassis (born 1956) is a composer, musician and an electric guitar player. He composes and plays a wide range of music including orchestral to chamber music, electronic, theater, street theater, and cinema. He moved to Paris in 1976 to study cinema and also worked as a photographer. In 1979 he decided to concentrate on music. He started doing workshops on instrumental research at the IRCAM (Institute for music/acoustic research and coordination) in Paris (where he also did a computer music course). He has been commissioned to compose music for Radio-France, Gmem, Ina-Grm, Grame, French government. His music has been played in international music festivals of "Présences", "Les Musiques-Marseille", "Musiques en scène-Lyon","Amplitude Festival Denmark","Computer Art Festival Padova" and some others. IRCAM
IRCAM (French: ''Ircam, '', English: Institute for Research and Coordination in Acoustics/Music) is a French institute dedicated to the research of music and sound, especially in the fields of avant garde and electro-acoustical art music. It is situated next to, and is organisationally linked with, the Centre Pompidou in Paris. The extension of the building was designed by Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers. ''Hava Aney Dey'' ('' en, Let the Wind Blow'') is a 2004 Indian Hindi-language drama film written and directed by Partho Sen-Gupta. It stars Aniket Vishwasrao, Nishikant Kamat, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Rajshree Thakur in the lead roles. Partho Sen-Gupta (also spelled Partho Sen Gupta or Partho Sengupta pronounced ''Partho Shen-Goopto'') is an independent film director and screenwriter. He is a French citizen, of Indian origin. He has a post-graduate in Film Direction from FEMIS. Biography Sen-Gupta was born in Mumbai (Bombay), on 2 September 1965. He has been working in cinema since the age of seventeen, starting his career as an apprentice in the art department, in the studios of "Bollywood" in Mumbai. Algerian Jews
The History of the Jews in Algeria refers to the history of the Jewish community of Algeria, which dates to the 1st century CE. In the 15th century, many Spanish Jews fled to the Maghreb, including today's Algeria, following expulsion from Spain and Portugal; among them were respected Jewish scholars, including Isaac ben Sheshet (Ribash) and Simeon ben Zemah Duran (Rashbatz). Algeria won its independence in 1962, and by the Nationality Code of 1963 denied citizenship to all non-Muslims. Algeria's Jews, most of whom had held French citizenship since 1870, left with the pied-noirs. The vast majority moved to France, and the rest moved to Israel.
