Erwin Kostner
Erwin Kostner (born 7 April 1958) is an Italian ice hockey coach and former player. He competed in the men's tournament at the 1984 Winter Olympics. As a player Kostner won four times the ''Scudetto'': three times with HC Gardena (1975-1976, 1979-1980 and 1980-1981) and one time with HC Bolzano (1989-1990). After retirement he becomes a coach in Italy (with Ritten Sport, HC Gherdëina, SHC Fassa, the jr. team of Val Pusteria and the Under-18 and Under-20 national teams) and Switzerland ( Giovani Discatori Turrita Bellinzona and HC Thurgau). Erwin Kostner is father of figure skater Carolina Kostner and of the ice hockey player Simon Kostner. Ladin People
The Ladins are an ethnic group in northern Italy. They are distributed in several valleys, collectively known as Ladinia. These include the valleys of Badia and Gherdëina in South Tyrol, of Fassa in the Trentino, and Livinallongo (also known as Buchenstein or Fodom) and Ampezzo in the Province of Belluno. Their native language is Ladin, a Rhaeto-Romance language related to the Swiss Romansh and Friulian languages. They are part of Tyrol, with which they share culture, history, traditions, environment, and architecture. Ladins developed a national ethnic identity in the 19th century. Micurà de Rü undertook the first attempt to develop a written form of the Ladin language. Isolde Kostner (born 20 March 1975) is an Italian former Alpine skier who won two bronze medals at the 1994 Winter Olympics and a silver medal at the 2002 Winter Olympics. She was the Italian flag bearer at the opening ceremony of the 2002 Olympics. Biography Kostner won two gold medals in Super-G at the Alpine Ski World Championships in 1996 and 1997, and in 2001 and 2002 she won the World Cup discipline title in Downhill. Her first World Cup win was in the downhill on 29 January 1994, at Garmisch-Partenkirchen this was, however, overshadowed by the death of Ulrike Maier on the same day. Kostner was born in Bolzano.
