Sara Errani (; born 29 April 1987) is an Italian professional tennis player. She is a former top five player in singles and former world No. 1 in doubles. With 9 singles titles and 27 doubles titles (including 5 Grand Slam doubles championships and 5 Premier Mandatory/Premier doubles titles), she is the Italian tennis player with the highest number of WTA titles. Vasco Errani (born 17 May 1955) is an Italian politician. He was a founding member of the Democratic Party (PD), which he has left on 22 February 2017, to join the Democratic and Progressive Movement, a party founded by the former PD left-wing minority. He has been President of Emilia-Romagna from 1999 to 2014, being the longest-serving one of all time. Errani is one of the longest-serving governors in the history of the Italian Republic. Early political career Errani started his political career in Ravenna in the late 1970s by joining the Italian Communist Party (PCI), which evolved as the Democratic Party of the Left (PDS) in 1991 and the Democrats of the Left (DS) in 1998. In this capacity he was municipal councillor in Ravenna from 1983 through 1995, when he was first elected to the Legislative Assembly of Emilia-Romagna and co-opted in the Regional Government as under-secretary to the Presidency. Achille Errani (20 August 1823 – 6 January 1897) was an Italian opera singer who also taught that skill in New York City. Early life Errani was born in Faenza, Italy. When seventeen years of age he entered the Milan Conservatory, and studied singing under the famous Nicola Vaccai, Vaccai. About five years later he made his first appearance as a leading tenor at Reggio di Modena. Career In 1859, after singing often in Italy, Spain, and Greece, he went to Havana under the management of Max Maretzek. He came to New York City in 1860, sang at the Winter Garden with Inez Fabbri, Fabbri, Gazia, and Erminia Frezzolini, Frezzolini, and in 1861, when Adelina Patti sang Violetta in ''La Traviata, Traviata'' for the first time, he took the part of Alfredo. He went to Mexico in 1863, and after the Civil War made a tour through the southern United States as first tenor of an opera company.
