Erotas (season 2)
This article contains a summary of the second season of the Greek television soap opera ''Erotas''. Background and criticism This series picks up months after the fatal bombing at Martha's farewell party, at the end of Season 1. This season introduces many new characters, and has been criticised for have a cast too large, and therefore slow development of story lines. Despite this, ratings remained consistent with season 1, and the show continued to rate very highly, especially at the end of the season, when many of the new characters were either killed, or left the show. The show was also highly criticised for killing the very popular character Vera Douka, at which point the ratings fell by 15% for a short period of time. ANT1
Antenna, better known as ANT1, is a television network airing in Greece. The alternate spelling is wordplay in Greek; ''ena'' (ένα) is the Greek number ''1'' (one), thus ''ANT1'' is pronounced the same as ''Antenna'' (Αντέννα). It launched on 31 December 1989, and is owned by Antenna Group. ANT1 had been a popular network in Greece for years with its line up of soap series including dramas ''Lampsi'' and ''Kalimera Zoi''. History The first broadcast was on 31 December 1989. ''Erotas'' (Greek: Έρωτας; English translation: Love) is a Greek television soap opera, produced in 2005 by TV author Vana Dimitriou. The show aired on the ANT1 network from September 18, 2005 until May 30, 2008 in Greece and Australia, for a total of three seasons, and 646 episodes. The direction of the show was shared amongst Kostas Kostopoulos, Katerina Kokkinidou, and Spyros Michalopoulos. Spetses
Spetses ( el, Σπέτσες, grc, Πιτυούσσα "Pityussa", Arvanitika: Πετσε̱) is an upscale affluent island in Attica, Greece. It is included as one of the Saronic Islands. Until 1948, it was part of the old prefecture of Argolis and Corinthia Prefecture, which is now split into Argolis and Corinthia. In ancient times, it was known as Pityussa; Spetses is a borrowing from Italian ''spezie'' "spices". The island is now an independent municipality (pop. 4,027), with no internal boundaries within the municipality. The town of Spetses (pop. 4,001 in 2011) is the only large settlement on the island.
