Erol Alkan
Erol Alkan (born 30 May 1974) is an English DJ and producer of Turkish Cypriot descent. He grew up in Archway in North London. Career DJ and club promoter In 1993, Erol Alkan started DJing in various indie nightclubs in London. His first ever public DJ set was at The Gass Club in Leicester Square. In 1995, he was a resident DJ of club night 'Going Underground' co-founded by Glyn Peppiatt and James Dickie. It was held weekly on Mondays at the Plastic People venue which was situated at its original Oxford Street location in Central London. In 1997, Erol re-launched the club under a new name: Trash. Over the next few years, Trash became one of the most influential clubs of its time. Erol's can refer to any of three companies, all founded by Erol Onaran, a Turkish immigrant to Virginia. Erol's Inc. Erol's Inc. was a video rental and electronic sales and repair company founded in 1963, which included video rental in 1980. By 1985, Erol's was the country's largest privately owned videocassette rental company. It was sold to Blockbuster Video for $40 million in 1990. At the time of the sale, Erol's was the nation's third largest video rental chain with 208 stores in five states and the District of Columbia. Its success was widespread enough to spawn imitations. Erol Büyükburç (8 August 1936 – 12 March 2015) was a Turkish singer-songwriter, pop music composer, and actor. Early years and family life Büyükburç was born on 8 August 1936 in Adana. After primary school in his hometown and commerce-high school in Istanbul, he briefly studied economy the Istanbul University. However, he abandoned the higher education after choosing a music career. From his relationship with Türkan Türker, he had two daughters; Ajlan (born in 1970) and Jeyan (born in 1977). Erol Erdinç (born 30 November 1945) is a Turkish Conductor (music), conductor of classical music, composer, pianist and educator. Early life and education Erol Erdinç started out studying composition with Ahmet Adnan Saygun and piano with T. Çetiz at the Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory, Ankara State Conservatory. After graduating in composition he stayed on at the conservatory to teach, while also working as pianist for the Ankara Turkish State Opera and Ballet. Erol Iba (born in Jayapura, Papua, 6 August 1979) is a retired Indonesian professional footballer. He normally plays as a defender or can be a midfielder and his height is 170 cm. Altan Erol (born May 28, 1983) is a Turkish professional basketball player for Merkezefendi Belediyesi Denizli Basket of the Turkish Basketball First League. Erol Otus is an American artist and game designer, known internationally for his contributions to the fantasy role-playing game (RPG) genre, especially early in the ''Dungeons & Dragons'' franchise.
