Ernst Tanner
Ernst Tanner (born 24 July 1946) is a Swiss manager and entrepreneur. He is Chairman of the Board of the chocolate manufacturer Lindt & Sprüngli. Life After earning his undergraduate degree in business administration, Tanner continued his education at business schools in London and Harvard. He worked for over 20 years in a leading management position in the Johnson & Johnson Group in Europe and the USA. In 1993 he joined Lindt & Sprüngli as a CEO and the next year he also assumed as its Chairman of the Board of Directors, for many years holding both mandates as a double mandate. Since his involvement in the Company, the revenue of the chocolate manufacturer has surged considerably. René Benko (born 20 May 1977) is an Austrian real estate, media and retail investor and founder of the Signa Holding. The company is considered Austria's largest privately held real estate conglomerate. Benko is one of the richest Austrians. Numerous controversies have surrounded Benko’s professional career. Krombacher Brauerei () is one of the largest privately owned breweries in Germany and ranks number 2 among Germany's best selling beers. History The brewery was founded on 4 February 1803 by Johannes Haas. His father Johann Eberhard Haas was running a tavern in Krombach. According to a regulation of 25 July 1618 the sale of beer was permitted only to restaurants having their own brewery and malt kiln. Therefore, Johannes Haas established the brewery within the family business. The water for the brewery (''Hasbrauerei'') was first brought in barrels from a spring at the foot of Grumberg in the west of the village by ox cart to the brewery.
