Ernst Gervin
Ernst Ancher Gervin (6 December 1908 – 27 January 1978) was a Norwegian magazine editor. He was born as Ernst Ancher Hanssen, but changed his name to Gervin in 1948. He was the editor-in-chief of ''Norsk Ukeblad'' from 1934 until 1952 and ''Hjemmet'' from 1952 to 1964. From 1965 to 1976 he worked for the publishing house Gutenbergshus, where he was responsible for the comic '' Donald Duck & Co''. During the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany he was a controversial figure among the occupying Germans. His magazine was responsible for the comic ''91 Stomperud'', which had run since 1937 with Gervin as the textwriter. In 1942 it was found that ''91 Stomperud'' mocked the occupying forces, and ''Norsk Ukeblad'' was stopped for four weeks. He was later imprisoned with caricaturer Gunnar Bratlie for a caricature of Vidkun Quisling in ''Norsk Ukeblad'' in February 1943 (#8). "Lost in the Andes!" is a Donald Duck story written by Carl Barks and published in Dell Comics' ''Four Color Comics'' #223 in April 1949. Donald and his nephews go to South America to find the mythical chickens that lay square eggs (actually, they are cubic eggs). Plot The story features Donald and his three nephews as members of a museum-sponsored expedition searching for the source of a number of square "artifacts" held in the Duckburg museum, recently revealed to be square eggs when Donald drops one and it cracks open. There is a rising interest, both scientific and financial, to find the source of these eggs and the chicken that laid them. However, the only thing known about them is that they came from Peru and were found somewhere in the Andes. Ullern
Ullern is a borough of the city of Oslo, Norway. History The borough has its name from an old farm, Norse ''Ullarin''. The first element is the genitive case of the name of the Norse god Ullr. The last element is ''vin'', meaning pasture or meadow. In Medieval times, the farm belonged to the monastery at Hovedøya. Following the Reformation in 1536, the farmland was separated between the crown and the local canon. Formally divided into lower and upper Ullern in 1740, both farms were bought by Herman Severin Løvenskiold, in 1878 and 1866 respectively. At the time, Ullern was a part of the rural municipality Aker. Signs of urbanization began in the 1800s, when Skøyen and areas along the Lysaker River, which divides Ullern from Bærum, began developing into industrial sites. Nynorsk
Nynorsk () () is one of the two written standards of the Norwegian language, the other being Bokmål. From 12 May 1885, it became the state-sanctioned version of Ivar Aasen's standard Norwegian language ( no, Landsmål) parallel to the Dano-Norwegian written language (''Riksmål'').
