Ernie Odoom
Ernie Odoom is a Swiss Vocalist, Saxophonist and Band Leader. He was a co-founder of ''PPA+'' and ''Rootman'' which is Thai version of PPA+. Odoom released albums for the band ''LeBocal'', as a vocalist and saxophonist, with his friends since 2002 and developing modern-improvising on his own style. Odoom won the Prix du Festival at Crest Vocal Jazz competition in 2004 and went on to form the piano-voice duo ''E'MOW'' and the progressive pop quartet ''Liquid Groovement'' with pianist Michel Wintsch, who is a reference in improvised music in Switzerland. In 2008, Ernie began work with a new trio, The Glenn Ferris ''Wheel'', with Glenn Ferris on trombone and Bruno Rousselet on double bass. Saxophone
The saxophone (often referred to colloquially as the sax) is a type of single-reed woodwind instrument with a conical body, usually made of brass. As with all single-reed instruments, sound is produced when a reed on a mouthpiece vibrates to produce a sound wave inside the instrument's body. The pitch is controlled by opening and closing holes in the body to change the effective length of the tube. The holes are closed by leather pads attached to keys operated by the player. Michel Wintsch (born 1964) is a Swiss avant-garde jazz composer and pianist who has worked with musicians such as Franz Koglmann and Gerry Hemingway Gerry Hemingway (born March 23, 1955) is an American drummer and composer. William Parker (born January 10, 1952) is an American free jazz double bassist. Beginning in the 1980s, Parker played with Cecil Taylor for over a decade, and he has led the Little Huey Creative Music Orchestra since 1981. ''The Village Voice'' named him "the most consistently brilliant free jazz bassist of all time" and ''DownBeat'' has called him "one of the most adventurous and prolific bandleaders in jazz". Early life and career Parker was born in the Bronx, New York City, and grew up in the Melrose housing project. His first instrument was the trumpet, followed by the trombone and cello. Glenn Ferris
Glenn Arthur Ferris (born June 27, 1950) is an American jazz trombonist who has also worked in other fields. Outside of jazz he has played for Frank Zappa, Stevie Wonder, James Taylor, and Duran Duran. He studied classical music from 1958 to 1967, but from 1964 onward he also studied jazz with Don Ellis, performing all of the trombone solos on three albums ("Ferris Wheel" was written for him by Don). Prior to the live concert at Filmore, he shaved his head. He went on to perform with a variety of American musicians in several genres before moving to France in 1980. In France he worked with Tony Scott, Brotherhood of Breath, and Henri Texier. He has led a trio and a quintet and has taught at the Conservatoire de Paris. A composer is a person who writes music. The term is especially used to indicate composers of Western classical music, or those who are composers by occupation.
