Ernie Adams (actor)
Ernie Adams (born Ernest Stephen Dumarais; June 18, 1885 – November 26, 1947) was an American vaudevillian performer, stage and screen actor and writer. Biography Born in San Francisco, California to Leon D. Adams and Laurence G. Girard, he was also billed as Ernest S. Adams and Ernie S. Adams. He appeared in vaudeville, theater, and film. He started his career in musical comedy on Broadway. Along with his wife Berdonna Gilbert, he formed the vaudeville team "Gilbert and Adams". He appeared in more than 400 films starting from the silent era between 1919 and 1948, and was particularly known for playing shady characters. On Broadway, Adams appeared in ''Toot-Toot!'' (1918). On November 26, 1947, Adams died of an acute pulmonary edema at the West Olympic Sanitarium in Los Angeles, California, aged 62. Ernie Adams (born March 31, 1953) is a former American football coach and researcher best known for his years with the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He is a longtime friend and associate of head coach Bill Belichick, first meeting Belichick when they played high school football together. With Adams, the Patriots won six Super Bowls. Adams is renowned for his casual style of dress and his low profile, as well as his extremely thorough analysis of the game. Early years Adams attended the Dexter School near Boston in Brookline, Massachusetts. Given his knowledge of football for his age, Adams was asked to coach the school's intramural football team as an eighth grader. Ernest William Adams (3 April 1922 – 28 September 2009) was an English professional footballer who played in the Football League for Queens Park Rangers as a forward. Prior to joining Queens Park Rangers (for whom he played in five matches) he had been on the books of two other English Football League clubs, Preston North End and Fulham. After leaving QPR in 1952 he spent six seasons with four clubs in the Kent League: three seasons with Betteshanger Colliery Works and one each with Ashford Town, Dover and Margate Margate is a seaside resort, seaside town on the north coast of Kent in south-east England. Ernest Robert Adams (born 17 January 1948) is an English former footballer who played as a goalkeeper in the Football League for Colchester United, Crewe Alexandra and Darlington. Adams came up through the youth ranks at Arsenal, where was a member of the 1966 FA Youth Cup winning squad, but failed to break into the first-team. Career Born in Hackney, London, Adams began his career at Arsenal as an apprentice in February 1964, and signed professional terms in January 1965. With the club, he finished as FA Youth Cup runner-up in 1965 and won the competition in 1966. Despite playing over 160 times for the Arsenal Academy and Reserves, Adams failed to break into the first-team squad, and was released at the end of the 1966–67 season.
