Ernesto Amantegui Phumipha ( th, เออร์เนสโต อมันเตกี ภูมิภา, born 16 April 1990) is a professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Thai club BG Pathum United. Born in Spain, he represents the Thailand national team. Club career Born in Oviedo, Asturias, to a Spanish father of Basque descent and a Thai mother, Amantegui played for local side Real Oviedo, making his debut with the first team on 17 May 2009 in a Tercera División match against CD Condal but spending the vast majority of his two-year spell with the reserves. He continued competing in the third level in the following years, with CD Mirandés and Sporting de Gijón B, contributing with 1,015 minutes of action as the former club promoted to the Segunda División for the first time in its history. Segunda División B ( en, Second Division B) was the third tier of the Spanish football league system containing 102 teams divided into five groups, until it was replaced by the new structure in 2021. It was administered by the Royal Spanish Football Federation. The League Cup ( th, ไทยลีกคัพ) is a football cup competition in Thailand. It is also known as Toyota League Cup for sponsorship reasons. It was re-formed during the 2010 domestic football league season in Thailand and runs along the same lines as the Thai FA Cup except that the earlier rounds would be regional rather than an open draw. Thai FA Cup is an annual knockout association football competition in men's domestic football. It was held between 1974 and 1999 and relaunched in 2009. Raj Vithi won the first two editions. The 2014 Thai Premier League (also known as Toyota Thai Premier League due to the sponsorship from Toyota) is the 18th season of the Thai Premier League since its establishment in 1996.
