Ernesto Allason (Turin, 1822 – March 1, 1868) was an Italian painter. Biography He was initially trained as a lawyer, but by 1843, he was studying art under the direction of the painter Carlo Piacenza. He specialized in landscapes. Carlo Piacenza (December 3, 1814 in Turin – 1887) was an Italian painter, mainly of Genre landscape scenes of the Piedmont. At the age of 20 years abandons his father's business, and becomes a pupil at the Accademia Albertina under Giovanni Battista Biscarra. He then apprentices with Pietro Fea. In 1840 he exits the academy. Ernesto Bertea (1836–1904) was an Italian painter, mainly of landscapes and Genre paintings, genre paintings. Biography He was born and lived in Turin. He studied with Ernesto Allason, then was influenced by the Swiss painter Edmond Castan and finally to the painter of the Barbizon School of Constant Troyon in Paris. He also worked in painting ceramics and watercolors.
