Ernakulam–Banaswadi Superfast Express
Ernakulam Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Superfast Express is a Superfast train belonging to Southern Railway zone of Indian Railways that runs between and Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal in India. Currently, there are two sets of Ernakulam– Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Superfast Express which is 1st set consists of train number 12683 / 12684 and the second set consists of train number 22607 / 22608. Whereas the first set was started 3 November 2005 and the second set was started on 24 July 2011 and both sets were terminated at and was named as Ernakulam–Bengaluru City Superfast Express but to de-congest Bangalore City these trains were shifted to and renamed as Ernakulam–Banaswadi Superfast Express at 1 Sep 2017. Recently a decision to combine both the Banaswadi expresses and to run it as triweekly between Ernakulam Junction and Banaswadi was taken via Krishnarajapuram.The train now originates from Sri M Visvesvaraya Terminal,Bengaluru. ICF Coach
The Integral Coach Factory (ICF) coach was a conventional passenger coach used on the majority of main-line trains in India. The design of the coach was developed by Integral Coach Factory, Perambur, Chennai, India in collaboration with the Swiss Car & Elevator Manufacturing Co, Schlieren, Switzerland in the 1950s. The design is also called the ''Schlieren design'' based on the location of the Swiss company. The 1st ICF coach had been flagged by then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru on 2 October 1955. The last ICF coach was flagged off by senior technician Shri Bhaskar P. in the presence of Railway Board Chairman Ashwani Lohani on 19 January 2018. Indian Locomotive Class WAP-4
The Indian locomotive class WAP-4 is a class of 25 kV AC electric locomotives that was developed in 1993 by Chittaranjan Locomotive Works for Indian Railways. The model name stands for broad gauge (W), AC Current (A), Passenger traffic (P) engine, 4th generation (4). They entered service in late 1994. A total of 778 WAP-4 were built at CLW between 1993 and 2015, which made them the most numerous class of mainline electric passenger locomotive until the WAP-7. The WAP-4 is one of the most successful locomotives of Indian Railways serving both passenger and freight trains for over 28 years.
