Erik Penser
Nils Wilhelm Erik Penser (born August 22, 1942) is a Swedish financier and businessman. Penser was born in Eslöv, Sweden, the son Wilhelm Penser, a lawyer, and Elisabeth (née Herrmann). After having studied law at Lund University, Erik Penser commenced a career as a stockbroker at ''Bankirfirman Langenskiöld'', which later became Carnegie Investment Bank. Together with Tomas Fischer he worked intensively to develop the firm's business, laying the foundation for his private wealth. Penser's strategy was risky; he bought shares, used them as collateral and borrowed even more money to leverage his holdings. Eventually he gained the controlling interest of several large companies on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. During the 1980s Penser was one of Sweden's most influential businessmen. Eslöv
Eslöv (; older da, Eslev) is a town and the seat of Eslöv Municipality, Skåne County, Sweden with 19,598 inhabitants as of 2018. Eslöv is part of the Öresund Region. History According to a map from 1717, Eslöv village was originally located in the current crossing Västergatan-Remmarlövsvägen. When the Southern Main Line, already passing through cities such as Stockholm and Malmö, was built through Eslöv the town's growth took off. On 4 October 1858 the first trains rolled on the southern main line through Eslöv. On 1 July 1865 the railway from Eslöv to Landskrona and Helsingborg (see Rååbanan) was taken into use and on 1 May 1866 the railway opened to Ystad. Compton Beauchamp
Compton Beauchamp is a hamlet and civil parish southeast of Shrivenham in the Vale of White Horse, England. It was part of Berkshire until the 1974 boundary changes transferred it to Oxfordshire. The 2001 Census recorded the parish's population as 50. Location The village is at the foot of the Berkshire Downs. The parish includes the hamlet of Knighton and the former hamlet of Hardwell. Nearby is the Iron Age hill fort of Hardwell Castle. History Compton's toponym is derived from the Old English ''cum'' meaning "valley" and ''tun'' meaning "farm" or "settlement". Its manor was held by the Beauchamp family in the 13th century. The moated Compton Beauchamp House was the home of the King's Councillor, Sir Thomas Fettiplace, from about 1507. ''Friherre'' Carl Jacob Palmstierna (28 April 1934 – 22 April 2013) was a Swedish banker. He was CEO of Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken (SEB) from 1976 to 1989. Career Palmstierna was born in Lund, Sweden, the son of ''Hovjägmästare'', ''Friherre'' Carl Palmstierna and his wife Anne-Marie (née von Essen), and grew up on the family estate of Maltesholm Castle. His grandmother Ruth von Essen was the youngest daughter of André Oscar Wallenberg, the founder of Stockholms Enskilda Bank (SEB) (the forerunner of the Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB) and Palmstierna's employer for 30 years, and where he was CEO for 13 years.
