Erik Larsson (ice Hockey)
Erik Waldemar "Burret" Larsson (18 January 1905 – 8 March 1970) was a Swedish ice hockey, football and bandy player, best known for representing Hammarby IF in all three sports. He won the silver medal with Sweden's ice hockey team in the 1928 Winter Olympics. Athletic career Ice hockey In 1924, at age 17, Larsson made his debut for Hammarby IF in the Klass I, Sweden's top division. He would go on to form a feared forward line with Helge Johansson and Sigfrid Öberg in the upcoming years. In 1928, Larsson competed in the Winter Olympics in St. Moritz with Sweden, and won the silver medal. In total, Larsson played 11 international games for his country. He is a recipient of the honorary award Stora Grabbars Märke, handed out by the Swedish Ice Hockey Association. Sven Helge "Dempsey" Johansson (27 December 1905 – 3 November 1937) was a Swedish ice hockey player who competed in the 1924 Winter Olympics. Allsvenskan And Elitserien (bandy)
The combination Allsvenskan ( sv, Allsvenskan i bandy) and Elitserien ( sv, Elitserien i bandy) was earlier the highest level of bandy in Sweden contested annually between Sweden, Swedish bandy clubs. The Allsvenskan was split into two regional divisions: the Allsvenskan Norra (bandy), Allsvenskan Norra (north) and the Allsvenskan Södra (bandy), Allsvenskan Södra (south), in which the teams played during the autumn. After the Christmas holiday the Allsvenskan was split into Elitserien (top four teams in each group) and Superallsvenskan (last four teams in each group). Division 2 (Swedish Football)
Division 2 is the fourth level in the league system of Swedish football and comprises 84 Swedish football teams. Division 2 had status as the official second level from 1928 to 1986 but was replaced by Division 1 in 1987. It then had status as the official third level until 2005 but was replaced once again by the recreated Division 1 in 2006. Allsvenskan (; en, the All-Swedish, also known as Fotbollsallsvenskan, en, the Football All-Swedish) is a Swedish professional league for men's association football clubs. It was founded in 1924 and is the top tier of the Swedish football league system, operating on a system of promotion and relegation with Superettan. Seasons run from late March or early April to the beginning of November, with the 16 clubs all meeting each other twice, resulting in a 30-match season, for a total of 240 matches league-wide. Allsvenskan is ranked 23rd in the UEFA coefficients of leagues based on performances in European competitions over the last five years. The 1924–25 Allsvenskan, part of the 1924–25 Swedish football season, was the inaugural season of Sweden's new first-tier football league, replacing Svenska Serien, which had been the name of the top tier since 1910. The first match was played on 3 August 1924 and the last match was played on 7 June 1925. GAIS won the league ahead of runners-up IFK Göteborg, while Västerås IK and Hammarby IF were relegated. A total of 12 teams participated in the league; 11 teams had played in Svenska Serien for the 1923–24 season and one team, Västerås IK, had played in Division 2. The Swedish ice hockey champions ( sv, Svenska mästare i ishockey) is a title awarded annually to the winning playoff team of the top-tier ice hockey league in Sweden, which currently is the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) since 1975. It was first awarded to IK Göta in 1922, the championship's inaugural year. The championship's present SHL format did not take into effect until the league was originally formed for the 1975–76 season under the name of Elitserien. The Swedish Ice Hockey Association ( sv, Svenska Ishockeyförbundet (SIF)) in Swedish, is an association of Swedish ice hockey clubs.
