Erica Fischer (born 1 January 1943 in St. Albans) is an Austrian writer, translator, and women's rights activist. She is best known for her book ''Aimée & Jaguar. Charlotte Elisabeth Wust (1 November 1913 – 31 March 2006) was a German housewife of a German banking accountant and soldier during World War II. She is known for her tragic love story involving a lesbian relationship with Felice Schragenheim. Felice Rahel Schragenheim (9 March 1922 – 31 December 1944) was a Jewish resistance fighter during World War II. She is known for her tragic love story with Lilly Wust. She was murdered via a death march from Gross-Rosen concentration camp (today Poland) to Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in Germany or, not later than, March 1945 in Bergen-Belsen. The story of the relationship between Schragenheim and Wust is portrayed in the 1999 film ''Aimée & Jaguar'', and in a book of the same name by Erica Fischer.. It is also the subject of the 1997 documentary '' Love Story: Berlin 1942''. ''Aimée & Jaguar'' is a 1999 German Drama (film and television), drama film set in Berlin during World War II. It was written and directed by Max Färberböck and based on Erica Fischer's book chronicling the actual lives of Lilly Wust and Felice Schragenheim during that time. Before Erica Fischer's bestseller, Lilly Wust was tracked down by the American journalist, author, and noted Holocaust researcher Charles Brady, who considered Lilly Wust a Holocaust victim. It was over a year and a half, however, before Wust was able to confide in Brady and tell him her whole story. They remained close friends for 20 years until her death in 2006. Fischer's book contains photos of the many letters shared between herself and Wust, and of official correspondence after World War II in regard to Felice's whereabouts.
