Eric Troyer
Eric Lee Troyer (born 10 April 1949) is an American keyboardist, singer, songwriter, and occasional guitarist, best known as a member of ELO Part II and its successor The Orchestra. Troyer was a founding member of ELO Part II, having been recruited by band leader Bev Bevan in 1988. He wrote a substantial quantity of the material on ELO Part II's three albums: '' Electric Light Orchestra Part Two''; '' Moment of Truth''; and ''One Night'', a live album recorded in Australia. He also wrote a large amount of The Orchestra's album ''No Rewind''. Life and career Troyer has performed on various albums as a session musician and backing vocalist, including albums by John Lennon, Bonnie Tyler, and Celine Dion. Troyer performed on the movie soundtracks for ''Footloose'', ''Chicago'', ''Flashdance'', and '' Streets of Fire''. The given name Eric, Erich, Erikk, Erik, Erick, or Eirik is derived from the Old Norse name ''Eiríkr'' (or ''Eríkr'' in Old East Norse due to monophthongization). "Honest Men" is the debut single by ELO Part II. It is the second track on their self-titled debut album. It peaked at No. 36 on the Dutch Single Top 100 and at No. 60 on the UK Singles Chart. Overview A music video of "Honest Men" was first aired in June 1991. '' Music & Media'' noted "Honest Men" as sounding very similar to ELO Part II's predecessor Electric Light Orchestra. In his review of the album, Doug Stone of AllMusic said, "…'Honest Men', 'Every Night', and 'Heart of Hearts' imitate the band's glory daze to the point of enjoyability". The single's B-side, "Love For Sale", was a song written by Bev Bevan and Pete Haycock. "Love For Sale" only appeared as a B-side to "Honest Men" and thus did not appear on the album. Bang Tango is an American hard rock band. The band was formed in Los Angeles in 1988 and was signed to MCA Records the same year. History Formation (1988) Initially the band was founded by guitarist Mark Knight and bassist Kyle Kyle in 1988. Knight wanted a second guitarist and recruited Kyle Stevens. At the suggestion of Rough Cutt's Amir Derakh, vocalist Joe Leste' joined the band as its frontman which led to Leste's childhood friend, Tigg Ketler, completing the five piece line up as Bang Tango's drummer. Artful Dodger (formed in 1973 in Fairfax, Virginia) are an American power pop/rock band, noted for their rock compositions, quick lyrics and vocal harmonies. ''Making Every Moment Count'' is the eighth and final studio album by Australian singer-songwriter Peter Allen, released in 1990, two years before his death from an AIDS-related illness. It was his first album of entirely new material since 1983's " Not the Boy Next Door". Peter Allen (born Peter Richard Woolnough; 10 February 1944 – 18 June 1992) was an Australian singer-songwriter, musician and entertainer, known for his flamboyant stage persona, boundless energy, and lavish costumes.
