Eric Owen Simons (born 9 March 1962) is a South African cricket coach and former cricketer. He was an all-rounder who played 23 One Day Internationals for South Africa in the 1990s. He later became coach of the national side for two years but he was replaced in 2004 by Ray Jennings Raymond Vernon Jennings (born 9 August 1954) is a former South African cricketer. He was one of South Africa's leading wicket-keepers during the suspension of the South African national team from international cricket during the apartheid era. .... A One Day International (ODI) is a form of limited overs cricket, played between two teams with international status, in which each team faces a fixed number of overs, currently 50, with the game lasting up to 9 hours. The Cricket World Cup, generally held every four years, is played in this format. One Day International matches are also called Limited Overs Internationals (LOI), although this generic term may also refer to Twenty20 International matches.
