Eric Sherbeck
Eric Sherbeck (born August 7, 1957) is an American former professional tennis player. Biography Sherbeck was born in Missoula, Montana, the son of Hal Sherbeck, an athletics coach at the University of Montana. Early in his childhood the family moved to California and his father began a famed career as the athletic director and football coach at Fullerton College. After graduating from El Dorado High School, Sherbeck went to Arizona State University, where he was the No. 1 singles player in the varsity tennis team. He graduated with a business administration degree in 1980, then turned to professional tennis. Primarily as a doubles specialist, Sherbeck competed on the international tennis circuit until 1985. Paul McNamee (born 12 November 1954) is an Australian former doubles world No. 1 tennis player and prominent sports administrator. Tennis career Juniors In his hometown, McNamee won the boys' singles tournament at the 1973 Australian Open. Pro tour McNamee is the only player to switch a grip as a professional, changing from a one-handed backhand to two-handed in 1979. Robert Bruce Kleege (born November 1, 1954), known as Bruce Kleege, is a former professional tennis player from the United States. Biography Early years and college Kleege grew up in La Jolla, California, but was born in Frankfurt, West Germany. He is of Latvian descent through his father Robert, who worked at the time for the United Nations. After attending Clairemont High School, Kleege went to Brigham Young University from 1972 to 1977. He had a noted varsity tennis career, which culminated in winning the No. 1 singles conference championship in 1977, a year he went undefeated and ranked sixth nationally. Glen Holroyd
Glen Holroyd (born September 25, 1954) is a former professional tennis player from the United States and played college tennis at Arizona State University. Biography Career Holroyd competed professionally in the early 1980s. He made the main singles draw of the 1981 Wimbledon Championships and was beaten in the first round by 16th seed Vitas Gerulaitis, then in the men's doubles made it all the way to the third round with partner Walter Redondo, where they took eventual finalists Bob Lutz and Stan Smith to five sets.
