Eric Nicoli
Eric Luciano Nicoli, CBE (born 5 August 1950) is a British businessman who has been the Chairman of Centtrip since 2015. He was Chairman of YO! Sushi from 2007 to 2021. He was CEO of EMI Group plc between 12 January 2007 and August 2007, having previously been Executive Chairman of the group since July 1999. In addition to his position at EMI, Nicoli has previously been Group Chief Executive of United Biscuits (Holdings) plc (1991–1999) and Non-Executive Chairman of HMV Group plc, The Tussauds Group Ltd and Vue Entertainment Ltd. Early life Nicoli was born 5 August 1950, the son of an Italian prisoner of war. His brother died at a young age of liver failure. YO! Sushi is a company that owns, operates, and franchises conveyor belt sushi restaurants, principally in the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, Russia, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait and Australia. Yorkie (chocolate Bar)
Yorkie is a chocolate bar made by Nestlé. It was originally made by York-based company Rowntree's, hence the name. History In 1976, Eric Nicoli of Rowntree's spotted a gap in the confectionery market for a "manly" chocolate bar, and so the company launched Yorkie as a chunkier competitor to Cadbury's Dairy Milk. Production was at York and Norwich until 1994. The Yorkie bar has historically been marketed towards men. From the bar's launch until 1992, the "Yorkie bar trucker" was the famous "rough, tough star" of the brand's television adverts. Another prominent ad from this period was a billboard at York railway station with the words "Welcome to" and a picture of a half unwrapped Yorkie bar. Thus the advert read "Welcome to York".
