Ron Erhardt (politician)
Ron Erhardt (born October 23, 1929) is a politician from the U.S. state of Minnesota and former member of the Minnesota House of Representatives. He represented District 49A, which included most of Edina in Hennepin County. Erhardt is a member of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL) and was re-endorsed by the DFL for re-election in 2016. Until July 2008, Erhardt was a Republican and was endorsed by the Republican Party of Minnesota. For nine successive terms, he earned election victories, even when other Republicans did poorly. In 2006, he won with 59.5%. However, over time his district, then numbered District 41A, went from Republican-leaning to becoming more of a swing district, with candidates of both major parties succeeding in the same elections. Joel Erhardt
Joel Benedict Erhardt (February 21, 1838 – September 8, 1909) was an American politician, civil servant, lawyer and businessman. He served as the police commissioner for the New York Police Department, U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of New York, the Collector of the Port of New York and was the Republican candidate who ran against Hugh J. Grant for the Mayor of New York in 1888. Early life Joel Benedict Erhardt was born in Pottstown, Pennsylvania and moved with his parents, John Erhardt and Louisa Benedict, to New York City at the age of three. He came from a poor background, it being necessary for him to work in order to pay for the costs of public schooling, and was employed as messenger and clerk. Ron Erhardt
Ronald Peter Erhardt (February 27, 1931 – March 21, 2012) was an American football coach at both the collegiate and professional levels. From 1979 to 1981 he served as head coach of the National Football League's New England Patriots. Early life A native of Mandan, North Dakota, Erhardt graduated from Jamestown College in 1953, then spent the next two years serving in the military. After leaving the service, he was hired in 1956 as an assistant coach at Williston High School in Williston, North Dakota. The following year, he began a six-year run as a head coach at two North Dakota Catholic high schools: from 1957 to 1959, his teams at St. Mary's (New England, ND) compiled a mark of 25–3–1, followed by another three-year run at Bishop Ryan High School in Minot, where he was 20–6–1 from 1960 to 1962. Thomas Joseph Erhardt (13 March 1928 – 28 December 2019) was an American-born theatrical literary agent whose career in British theatre spanned over five decades. Early career Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Erhardt started his professional working life in 1956, transcribing plays and musicals at New Dramatists Committee in New York. He went on to work as assistant to agent Lucy Kroll who represented clients including; Carl Sandburg, Norman Mailer and James Earl Jones. Heinz Erhardt (; 20 February 1909 – 5 June 1979) was a German comedian, musician, entertainer, actor, and poet. Life Heinz Erhardt was born in Riga, the son of Baltic German Kapellmeister Gustav Erhardt. He lived most of his childhood at his grandparents in Riga, where his grandfather, Paul Nelder, owned a music supply store at the current location of the Freedom Square. His grandfather also taught him how to play the piano. After World War I, his father emigrated to Germany. Erhardt lived with his stepmother in Wennigsen near Hanover, where he attended school, until in 1924 he returned to Riga. Friedman Paul Erhardt (November 5, 1943 – October 26, 2007) was a German American pioneering early television chef. He was known as "Chef Tell" to his 40 million fans. He is widely regarded as one of the first chefs to enjoy widespread popularity on American television. Former ''Philadelphia Inquirer'' food writer, Elaine Tait, wrote, "Chef Tell is America's pioneer TV showman chef whose food always tastes good." Dr. Laurence "Larry" Erhardt is a fictional character and one of the two original villains on the cult television show '' Mystery Science Theater 3000''. He was played by Josh "J. Elvis" Weinstein. Role Dr. Erhardt is a mad scientist and was Dr. Clayton Forrester's first assistant. He is a very different character from Forrester's later assistant, TV's Frank. Trevor Erhardt (born November 27, 1962) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. Erhardt is regarded as one of the crowd favorites in Frankfurt hockey. He played for both the Eintracht Frankfurt, as well as for ESC Frankfurt, and his jersey #27 has been retired in Frankfurt. In his time at Eintracht Frankfurt, where he played from the 1983–84 season, he was instrumental during the 1985–86 season in the rise to the 1st Bundesliga. Herbert "Ertl" Erhard (6 July 1930 – 3 July 2010), also known as Herbert Erhardt, was a German footballer who played as a defender. Club career Erhard played for SpVgg Fürth and Bayern Munich. He was known for his hard tackling, doggedness and captain-like performances. The German Football Association lists Erhardt in the top 20 best German defenders of all time, and Bayern Munich included him in their best 16 in a team made up in the 1980s of famous past players.
