Eretz Nehederet
''Eretz Nehederet'' ( he, ארץ נהדרת; ) is an Israeli prime-time television satirical sketch comedy show, that premiered on Keshet's Channel 2 in 2003. It features satirical references to current affairs of the past week through parodies of the people involved, as well as the thoughts of recurring characters. The program's concept is inspired by ''Saturday Night Live'', ''The Daily Show'' and others. The program is one of the most watched and influential shows on Israeli TV. It is also one of the longest-running scripted shows in Israeli television to date, running for 19 seasons as of 2022. Beginning with Season 15, the program is aired on Keshet 12, in HDTV. It was first filmed in Tel Aviv, and in later seasons, was filmed in the neighboring Herzliya. Channel 2 (Israel)
Channel 2 ( he, ערוץ שתיים, Arutz Shtaim), also called "The Second Channel" ( he, הערוץ השני, HaArutz HaSheni) was an Israeli commercial television channel. It started doing experimental broadcasts funded by the television tax. The channel started commercial broadcasting on 4 November 1993 regulated and managed by The Second Authority for Television and Radio. In its first years, the channel was operated by three broadcasters (" Keshet", "Reshet", and "Telad"), and in 2005 only two broadcasters were left while "Telad" stopped broadcasting due to its loss in the Second Authority's auction. On 31 October 2017, 24 years after the Channel started broadcasting, it got closed and split into two new channels: Keshet 12 and Reshet 13. Ra'anana ( he, רַעֲנָנָּה, lit. "Fresh") is a city in the southern Sharon Plain of the Central District of Israel. Uzi Cohen ( he, עוזי כהן, 1 May 1952 – 18 January 2008) was an Israeli Likud activist and politician. Early life Born in moshav Tal Shahar, he moved with his family to Ra'anana at the age of two. Sodom and Gomorrah () were two legendary biblical cities destroyed by God for their wickedness. ''Zohi Sdom'' ( he, זוהי סדום, ) is an Israeli comedy feature film released on August 5, 2010. It was conceived and created by the team behind the television programme, ''Eretz Nehederet'', and directed by Muli Segev and Adam Sanderson. According to official figures, the movie was the most-watched Israeli film in the 25 years preceding it, with over half a million local tickets sold. The film is a comical depiction of the Biblical story of Sodom and Gomorrah. It is centered on the families of Lot, the only righteous man in Sodom, and Bera the king of Sodom.
