Erattai Manithan
''Erattai Manithan'' () is a 1982 Indian Tamil-language film, directed by K. Shankar and produced by S. Aadhilakshmi. The film stars S. S. Rajendran (who is also credited for film's script), Jaiganesh, Latha, Sumithra, Bhavani and V. K. Ramasamy in lead roles. The film had musical score by M. S. Viswanathan. Plot Durai (S. S. Rajendran) is honest, straightforward and lives by a strict moral code. His only family is his younger sister Vani ( Sumithra) and he works as a manager for Thangavelu's ( V. K. Ramasamy) company. Thangavelu's wife Mangalam ( Manorama) and daughter Kannamma ( Latha) constantly clash with Durai's stodgy attitude but Thangavelu appreciates him. Jaiganesh
Jai Ganesh (1946 – 11 February 2001) was an Indian Tamil film actor. He had supporting roles in the films ''Aval Oru Thodar Kathai'' and ''Attukara Alamelu'', among others. His most popular roles have been as a supporting actor or as a villain in films such as '' Thaayillamal Naan Illai'' (1979) and ''Athisaya Piravi'' (1990). He was introduced into the film industry by director K. Balachander in ''Aval Oru Thodar Kathai''. From then on, he acted in many films as hero and also as character actor. Some of his famous films in 1970s are ''Neeya'', ''Pilot Premnath'', ''Vattathukkul Sathuram'' and ''Vanakathukuriya Kathaliyae''& Azhage unnai Aradhikkiren. Latha, also known as M.G.R. Latha or Latha Sethupathi, (born 7 June 1953) is an Indian actress, who played leading roles in South Indian films from 1973 to 1983. She is also known for her roles in various serials in Tamil language. Early life Her photogenic looks and dancing skills attracted attention from the Tamil film industry. She entered films when she was fifteen and was encouraged by her aunt, actress Kamala Kotnis. Her first film was ''Ulagam Sutrum Valiban'' (1973), whose star and producer was M. G. Ramachandran. Sumithra (born 18 September 1953) is an Indian actress. She has appeared in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu language films. She acted as the lead heroine in films between 1974 and 1986. Gopishantha (26 May 1937 – 10 October 2015), better known by her stage name Manorama, also called Aachi, was an Indian actress, playback singer and comedian who had appeared in more than 1000 films and 5000 stage performances and several television series predomninantely in the Tamil language until 2015. Suruli Rajan was a Tamil film comedian/character artiste. He was a recipient of Tamil Nadu State Government's Best Comedian Award for the year 1981–82. Biography Suruli Rajan was born in 1938 in Periyakulam, near Theni. His father ''Ponnaiya Pillai'' worked as an accountant for farm owners of the adjoining areas in Theni. Pulamaipithan
Pulavar Pulamaipithan (6 October 1935 – 8 September 2021) was an Indian scholar, poet and lyricist who got recognition through the song "Naan yaar nee yaar" which was featured in the Tamil film ''Kudiyirundha Koyil'' in 1968. He briefly served as the presidium chairman of AIADMK from 2002 to 2003, when he resigned citing ill-health. Biography Pulamaipithan was born in Irugur, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu on 6 October 1935. At the early age Pulavar used to work in textile mill known as Combodia mills in Coimbatore and also studied his Tamil literature in Tava Tiru Shanthalinga Adigalar Perur Tamil Kaluri Coimbatore.
