Equestrian At The 2019 Pan American Games
Equestrian competitions at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru were held from July 27 to August 10. The venue for the competition is the Equestrian Club Militar La Molina. A total of 150 athletes are scheduled to compete in the three disciplines of dressage, eventing and jumping, each with an individual and team event. All three disciplines served as qualifiers for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. Medal table Medalists Qualification A quota of 150 equestrian riders (48 dressage, 48 eventing and 54 show jumping) will be allowed to qualify. A maximum of 12 athletes can compete for a nation across all events (with a maximum of four per discipline). Athletes qualified through various qualifying events and rankings. Equestrian At The 2015 Pan American Games
Equestrian competitions at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto were held from July 11 to 25 at the Caledon Equestrian Park in Palgrave. The cross-country portion of eventing took place at nearby Will O' Wind Farm (Pan Am Cross-Country Centre), which is located in Mono. Due to naming rights the venue was known as the latter for the duration of the games. The competition was split into three disciplines, dressage, eventing and show jumping. Each discipline awarded a team and individual set of medals. The top team not already qualified in the dressage and eventing team events qualified for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, along with the top two placed teams (not already qualified) in the show jumping competition. In the individual dressage competition, the top nation (not qualified in the team event) in groups IV and V each qualified one quota. Doug Payne
Doug Payne (born December 2, 1981) is an American equestrian. Payne was part of the American gold medal-winning eventing team at the 2019 Pan American Championships as well as finishing fourth in the individual competition in Lima, Peru. He has been selected to compete for the United States in the delayed 2020 Summer Games in Tokyo. He was the highest placed member of Team USA. Payne might be best known in the discipline of Eventing as he has countless wins and top placings at all levels including a national championship at the Kentucky CCI5*. João dos Santos (Évora – Goa, 1622) was a Portuguese Dominican missionary in India and Africa. Life On 13 August 1586, four months after leaving Lisbon, Santos arrived in Portuguese Mozambique. He was at once sent to Sofala, where he remained four years with Father João Madeira. Between them they baptized some 1694 natives and had built three chapels when they were ordered back to Mozambique.
