Epy Guerrero
Epifanio Obdulio "Epy" Guerrero (January 3, 1942 - May 23, 2013) was a Dominican baseball scout who signed more than 50 Major League Baseball (MLB) players for the Houston Astros, New York Yankees, Toronto Blue Jays and Milwaukee Brewers. Epy was the brother of former shortstop Mario Guerrero, and had two sons, Epy Jr. (Sandy) and Mike, who played and Coached minor league ball. Guerrero was a Toronto Blue Jays coach in . As a Blue Jays scout, Guerrero signed Tony Fernández and Carlos Delgado, and urged upper management to draft George Bell away from the Philadelphia Phillies. He is considered to have signed more major leaguers than any other scout, including All Stars Cesar Cedeño, Carlos Delgado, Tony Fernández, Dámaso García, Alfredo Griffin, and José Mesa. Dámaso García
Dámaso Domingo García Sánchez (7 February 1957 – 15 April 2020) was a Dominican professional baseball second baseman, best known for his time spent with the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball (MLB), in the 1980s. García was originally a footballer. In 1974, he was the club captain of Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra. That year, García also played as the captain for the Dominican Republic national football team at the 1974 Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo. Playing career García made his major league debut in 1978 with the New York Yankees. Domingo Antonio Ramos (born March 29, 1958) is a former professional baseball player who was an infielder in Major League Baseball from 1978 to 1990. In 1982 with the Seattle Mariners, he filled in at all four infield positions. Ramos hit over .200 just twice, .283 in 1983 and .311 in 1987, in 103 at-bats. Ramos earned his first career hit on May 23, 1980. On June 26, 1982, he recorded his first career RBI. José Ynocencio Sosa (December 28, 1952 – June 8, 2013) was a Dominican Republic relief pitcher in Major League Baseball who played from 1975 through 1976 for the Houston Astros. Listed at 5' 11", 158 lb., he batted and threw right-handed. Born in Santo Domingo, Sosa came from a baseball family that included his cousins Felipe Alou, Matty Alou, Jesús Alou and Moisés Alou, being also related to Mel Rojas. Sosa was signed by the Astros as an amateur free agent in 1970 and started his career in their minor league system, playing for them at three different levels before joining the big club late in the 1975 midseason. Luis Mercedes Escobar Sánchez (September 24, 1953 – February 4, 2005), nicknamed "Escoba" (broom), was a relief pitcher in Major League Baseball who played for the California Angels. He also played in Japan for the Yomiuri Giants. He batted and threw right-handed. Career A native of Cariaco, Venezuela, Sánchez was signed by the Houston Astros as an amateur free agent in 1971. After playing through 1976 in the minor league systems of Houston and Cincinnati, Sánchez appeared in the Mexican League. Sánchez was the Angels' closer from 1983 to 1984. After the emergence of Donnie Moore in 1985, he divided his time in the bullpen as a middle reliever or set-up man. In 1986 and 1987, he pitched for the Yomiuri Giants.
