Hendricks Township is a civil township of Mackinac County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 153 at the 2010 census. Communities * Caffey, along with the nearby Caffey Corner, was a lumber settlement at . It is on H-40. West of Caffey, H-40 is also known as the ''Hiawatha Trail''. At Caffey Corner, the Hiawatha Trail branches off to the south to end at US 2 east of Epoufette. H-40 continues east from Caffey approximately seven miles to Trout Lake and from there on to Rudyard just west of I-75. Its station on the Minneapolis, St. Paul and Sault Ste. Cut River (Mackinac County, Michigan)
Cut River is a small, short river in the Upper Peninsula of the U.S. state of Michigan. The 4-mile (6.5 km) river runs along the boundary between Hendricks Township and Moran Township, with the mouth on Lake Michigan about two miles east of Epoufette and about four miles west of Brevort. It drains part of the Little Brevoort wetland through a steep-sided limestone gorge into northern Lake Michigan. The river's drainage is largely located within the Lake Superior State Forest and is administered by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. Cut River Bridge
Cut River Bridge is a cantilevered steel deck bridge over the Cut River in the Upper Peninsula of the U.S. state of Michigan. It is located along U.S. Highway 2 (US 2) in Hendricks Township, Mackinac County, between Epoufette and Brevort, about northwest of St. Ignace and the Straits of Mackinac. There is a long wooden staircase to the valley below that was constructed some time after the construction of the bridge itself. On the east end of the bridge, there is an office door built under the main structure with a brass plaque inscribed "T. Troll". The bridge was built in 1947 and is one of only two cantilevered deck truss bridges in Michigan, it is long and contains of structural steel. Garnet, Michigan
Garnet ( ) is an unincorporated community in Mackinac County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The community is located within Hudson Township. As an unincorporated community, Garnet has no legally defined boundaries or population statistics of its own. History A railway line was constructed through the area as early as 1888, and the area soon received a railway depot. The Minneapolis, St. Paul and Sault Ste. Marie Railroad opened a railway stop under the name "Welch" in 1891. The community began to grow and included a sawmill and general store. A post office was opened on November 4, 1898. George Donaldson, who owned the general store, served as the community's first postmaster. By 1900, the population of Welch was around 500.
