Epitaph was a New Zealand television show that aired on TV1 during evenings in 2001. The show was directed and presented by Paul Gittins. Two books were published based on the programme. Paul Gittins
Paul Gittins is a New Zealand actor who is best known for playing Doctor Michael McKenna in ''Shortland Street'' from 1992 to 1995 and 1998 to 1999, and he has also appeared in ''The End of the Golden Weather'', '' Xena: Warrior Princess'', ''Hercules: The Legendary Journeys'', '' City Life'', ''The Whole of the Moon'' and ''Maiden Voyage''. TVNZ 1 ( mi, Te Reo Tātaki Tahi) is the first national television channel owned and operated by the state-owned broadcaster Television New Zealand (TVNZ). It is the oldest television broadcaster in New Zealand, starting out from 1960 as independent channels in the four main centres of Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin, networking in 1969 to become NZBC TV (although the individual facilities retained their call signs into the 1970s). ''The New Zealand Herald'' is a daily newspaper published in Auckland, New Zealand, owned by New Zealand Media and Entertainment, and considered a newspaper of record for New Zealand. It has the largest newspaper circulation of all newspapers in New Zealand, peaking at over 200,000 copies in 2006, although circulation of the daily ''Herald'' had declined to 100,073 copies on average by September 2019.
