Epimaco Velasco
Epimaco Ardina Velasco (December 12, 1935 – January 27, 2014), popularly known as Epi, was a Filipino politician who served as DILG Secretary, governor of Cavite, and NBI Director. He was the first NBI Director who rose from the ranks and rose to prominence at the NBI with the killing of Number 1 Most Wanted Man in Cavite, Leonardo Manecio aka Nardong Putik. Leonardo Malihan Manicio (March 25, 1925 – October 10, 1971), better known through his alias Nardong Putik ("Nardo of the Mud"), was a Filipino gangster from Cavite province. Manicio famously credited his ability to survive and escape numerous ambushes and gunfights to his ''anting-anting'' (amulet).
