Entertainment Tonight UK
''Entertainment Tonight UK'' (usually presented on screen as simply ''Entertainment Tonight'') is a British version of the celebrity news show '' Entertainment Tonight''. The British show is fronted by Amanda Byram and launched in January 2005 on pay TV channel Sky One, which also screens episodes of the US version a day after the American broadcast. The British version airs in a weekly hour-long slot and places particular emphasis on British-born celebrities now based in Hollywood, though the show also recycles some content from the US version. ''Entertainment Tonight'' (or simply ''ET'') is an American Broadcast syndication, first-run syndicated news broadcasting news magazine, newsmagazine program that is distributed by CBS Media Ventures throughout the United States and owned by Paramount Streaming. ET also airs in Australia on Network 10. Format The format of the program is composed of stories of interest from throughout the entertainment industry, exclusive set visits, first looks at upcoming film and television projects, and one-on-one interviews with actors, musicians and other entertainment personalities and newsmakers. Amanda Byram
Amanda Byram (born 16 June 1973) is an Irish television presenter and former model, best known for co-presenting BBC One game show ''Total Wipeout'' with Richard Hammond, the Irish version of ''Dancing with the Stars'' on RTÉ1 and for hosting American television shows, ''The Swan'' and ''Paradise Hotel''. Early life Formerly a model, Byram started her career on television in 1999 presenting the TV3 morning show ''Ireland AM'' with Mark Cagney, during which time she met her then-boyfriend, comedian Patrick Kielty. Television career Soon afterwards she began appearing on British television, initially as a host on ''The Big Breakfast'' on Channel 4 in 2001 and subsequently appeared as a guest host on ''Liquid News'' on BBC Three in 2002. Sky One
Sky One was a British pay television channel operated and owned by Sky Group (a division of Comcast). Originally launched on 26 April 1982 as Satellite Television, it was Europe's first satellite and non-terrestrial channel. From 31 July 1989, it became Sky One and broadcast exclusively in the United Kingdom and Ireland as British Sky Broadcasting's flagship channel, being the most watched television service in history. It existed until 1 September 2021, when it closed down as part of a restructuring with its EPG position taken by Sky Showcase and much of its content library moved to Sky Max.
