Enrico Boselli
Enrico Boselli (born 7 January 1957) is an Italian politician. He has been Vice President of Alliance for Italy, and is the former leader of the Italian Democratic Socialists and the modern-day Socialist Party, and former President of Emilia-Romagna. Biography A former member of the historical Italian Socialist Party (PSI), Boselli was first elected as MP in 1994. After the dissolution of the PSI in 1994, he has been leader of the Italian Socialists and the Italian Democratic Socialists. He also served as Member of the European Parliament from 1999 to 2004 as member of the Group of the Party of European Socialists. From September 1999 to 2001, Boselli served as rapporteur for the second reading of the InfoSoc directive, having been named by the Committee on Legal Affairs and the Internal Market. The Italian Socialists ( it, Socialisti Italiani, SI) were a minor social-democratic political party in Italy active from 1994 to 1998. The party was the legal successor of the Italian Socialist Party (PSI), following its dissolution by the 47th Party Congress due to the severe financial crisis following the ''Tangentopoli'' scandal. The Chamber of Deputies ( it, Camera dei deputati) is the lower house of the bicameral Italian Parliament (the other being the Senate of the Republic). The two houses together form a perfect bicameral system, meaning they perform identical functions, but do so separately. Emma Bonino (born 9 March 1948) is an Italian politician. A senator for Rome, she served as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2013 to 2014. Previously, she was a Member of the European Parliament and a member of the Chamber of Deputies. She served in the government of Italy as minister of international trade from 2006 to 2008. Bonino is a leading member of the Italian Radicals, a political party which describes itself "liberale, liberista, and libertario", where ''liberista'' denotes economic liberalism and ''libertario'' a form of cultural liberalism concerning moral issues, with some ideological connection with historical left-libertarianism. A Member of the European Parliament (MEP) is a person who has been elected to serve as a popular representative in the European Parliament.
