Enniskillen Rangers
Enniskillen Rangers is a Northern Irish football club located in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh and play in the Fermanagh & Western League Division 1. The club are the current holders of the Irish Junior Cup and Fermanagh & Western Division One Champions. Formed in 1953, Enniskillen Rangers play in the Fermanagh and Western Football League Division One. The club has won the prestigious Irish Junior Cup four times and finished runners-up four times. They have been Fermanagh & Western Division One champions eighteen times and Mulhern Cup winners fifteen times and are currently the most decorated team in County Fermanagh. Between 1962-1966, the club won five Division One titles in a row. Fermanagh & Western FA
The Fermanagh & Western Football Association is one of four regional FAs within Northern Ireland and affiliated to the Irish FA, the others being the County Antrim FA (also known as the North East Ulster FA), the Mid-Ulster FA and the North-West FA. History The Fermanagh & Western FA was founded in 1907 following the expansion of the Fermanagh & South Tyrone FA (itself founded in 1904). Enniskillen ( , from ga, Inis Ceithleann , 'Cethlenn, Ceithlenn's island') is the largest town in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. The ''Impartial Reporter'' is a newspaper based in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland which is circulated in Fermanagh, South Tyrone and the border counties of the Republic of Ireland. Alexander 'Sandy' John Burns Fulton (1942–2001) was the first person from County Fermanagh to play representative football for Northern Ireland. Football Sandy Fulton made his debut in 1957 for Enniskillen Rangers at the age of 13 years and four months, scoring in the local derby against Enniskillen Corinthians. In 1958, Enniskillen Rangers won the Mulhern Cup and Mercer Cup. In the Mulhern Cup final, they defeated Enniskillen Corinthians 3–0 at the Broadmeadow. Jim Cleary (Northern Irish Footballer)
James Cleary (born on 27 May 1956) is a Northern Irish former footballer who played as a midfielder for Enniskillen Rangers, Portadown and Glentoran and the Northern Ireland national team. Career Cleary began his career with Enniskillen Rangers before making the step up to the Irish League with Portadown in 1975. He spent five seasons at Portadown before moving to Glentoran in 1980. He scored in the first round of the 1981–82 European Cup. He is widely regarded as one of the best footballers to have represented Glentoran in the 1980s, as well as one of the best in the Irish League during this period. Cleary was noted for his passing and shooting skills with his left foot and an excellent scoring record from midfield.
