Enniscorthy RFC
Enniscorthy RFC is an Irish rugby team based in Enniscorthy, Leinster, playing in Division 2B of the All-Ireland League. It is the oldest rugby club in county Wexford. Its clubhouse and pitch are located on the Ross Road, Enniscorthy. The club has very successful teams at mini, youth, and senior level. Training for Mini (U7 - U12) teams happens on Sunday mornings at Ross Road @ 10.00 am Training for youth (U13 - U19) teams happens twice per week on weeknight evenings at Ross Road. The club has won the Leinster Rugby Provincial Towns Cup a total of eight times. The most recent victories occurred in 2012, 2015, and 2018. Enniscorthy also won the Irish Rugby All Ireland Junior Cup twice. The Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) ( ga, Cumann Rugbaí na hÉireann) is the body managing rugby union in the island of Ireland (both Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland). Leinster Rugby
Leinster Rugby ( ga, Rugbaí Laighean) is one of the four professional provincial rugby union teams from the island of Ireland and the most successful Irish team domestically. They compete in the United Rugby Championship and the European Rugby Champions Cup. Leinster play their home games primarily at the RDS Arena, although larger games are played in the Aviva Stadium when the capacity of the RDS is insufficient. Before moving to the RDS in 2005, Leinster's traditional home ground was Donnybrook Stadium, in Dublin 4. Enniscorthy () is the second-largest town in County Wexford, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. At the 2016 census, the population of the town and environs was 11,381. The town is located on the picturesque River Slaney and in close proximity to the Blackstairs Mountains and Ireland's longest beach, Curracloe. The town is twinned with Gimont, France. The All-Ireland League (AIL), known for sponsorship reasons as the Energia All-Ireland League, is the national league system for the 50 senior rugby union clubs in Ireland, covering both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. The league was inaugurated in the 1990–91 season. The league is the second highest level of rugby union in Ireland, as professional teams representing the four provinces of Ireland play in the United Rugby Championship.
