Ennis Hayes
Ernesto "Ennis" Hayes (10 May 1896 – 6 February 1956) was an Argentine footballer who played as a forward. He played most of his career at Rosario Central, being also called for the Argentina national team. He is (alongside his brother Harry) the most decorated player in Rosario Central's history, with 20 titles, which include 5 AFA titles and 15 regional honours. Early and personal life Hayes was born in Rosario on 10 May 1896, the son of an English father. Copa De Competencia (Asociación Amateurs)
The Copa de Competencia was an official Argentine football cup competition contested between 1920 and 1926. It was established by the "Asociación Amateurs de Football", a dissident body formed a year before. The Associación Amateurs organized its own championships until 1926 when it merged to official Asociación Argentina. Unlike the Copa de Competencia Jockey Club, this Cup did not qualify any team to play an international match because it had been created by a dissident league (clubs registered to AFA played against the Uruguayan Football Association champions). The inaugural edition of the cup was contested by 21 clubs from dissident leagues of Buenos aires and Rosario. The Copa de Competencia Jockey Club was an official Argentine football cup competition contested between 1907 and 1933. The winner of this Cup was allowed to play the Tie Cup against the Uruguayan champion of Copa de Competencia. History The Copa de Competencia Jockey Club was first awarded in 1907, being Alumni its first winner. Teams affiliated to the Argentine Football Association and Liga Rosarina de Football were allowed to enter to this competition. Rosarian teams participated until the 1919 edition.
