Enid Kent
Enid Kent (born January 14, 1945) is an American actress. She was born to William Kent, a German-Jewish immigrant, insurance broker and refugee from Hitler's Nazi regime in the late 1930s, and Irene Tedrow, a veteran American actress of radio, stage, film and television, originally from Denver, Colorado. A Hollywood High School graduate, Kent explored the world of theater from an early age, becoming a participant in the Oregon Shakespeare Festival among other endeavors. Her college years found her attending classes at San Francisco State University, eventually moving to New York to pursue acting professionally. After this move, her career blossomed, and she became a television actress. She played Nurse Bigelow, a recurring character on ''M*A*S*H'', from 1976 to 1983. Irene Tedrow
Irene Tedrow (August 3, 1907 – March 10, 1995) was an American character actress in stage, film, television and radio. Among her most notable roles are as Janet Archer in the radio series ''Meet Corliss Archer'', Mrs. Lucy Elkins on the TV sitcom ''Dennis the Menace (1959 TV series), Dennis the Menace'', and as Mrs. Webb in the stage production ''Our Town'' at the Plumstead Playhouse. Stage Tedrow studied with Ben Iden Payne, who directed the Memorial Theater at Stratford-on-Avon, in England. She also had three seasons' experience with Maurice Evans (actor), Maurice Evans's troupe in New York City and touring nationally. In 1931, she was a member of the Chautauqua Repertory Theater. Tedrow was a founding member of San Diego's Old Globe Theater and was cast as an ingenue (stock character), ingénue in the beginning of her career. ''Eight Is Enough'' is an American television comedy-drama series that ran on ABC from March 15, 1977, until May 23, 1981. The show was modeled on the life of syndicated newspaper columnist Tom Braden, a real-life parent with eight children, who wrote a book by the same title. Synopsis The show centers on a Sacramento, California, family with eight children (from oldest to youngest: David, Mary, Joanie, Susan, Nancy, Elizabeth, Tommy, and Nicholas). The father, Tom Bradford (based on Tom Braden, played by Dick Van Patten), is a newspaper columnist for the fictional ''Sacramento Register''. His wife, Joan (based on Joan Braden, played by Diana Hyland), was a homemaker and took care of the children. ''Small Wonder'' is an American children's comedy science fiction sitcom that aired in first-run syndication from September 7, 1985, to May 20, 1989. The show chronicles the family of a robotics engineer who secretly creates a robot modeled after a human girl, then tries to pass it off as their adopted daughter, Vicki. The series turned out to be a surprise hit, specifically amongst the kid section, as many channels belonging to different nations witnessed while re-running the show.
