English Cricket Team In India In 2008–09
The England cricket team toured India from 9 November 2008 to 23 December 2008 and played 2 Test matches and 5 One Day Internationals (ODIs). Following the attacks in Mumbai on 26 November, the final 2 ODIs against India were cancelled, India taking the series 5–0. As a result of the Mumbai Attacks the Test matches were moved from Ahmedabad and Mumbai to Chennai and Mohali. England flew home initially and then attended a training camp in Abu Dhabi. On 7 December the England team decided to participate in the 2 match Test series and arrived in Chennai the next day. At Chennai, Andrew Strauss hit 123 and 108, strokeful for the former England skipper. Sachin Tendulkar slammed 103* ,with Yuvraj Singh at 85*,chased the record target of 387,guiding India to a victory by 6 wickets. ODI series India won the series 5–0. Mahendra Singh Dhoni
Mahendra Singh Dhoni (; born 7 July 1981) is an Indian professional cricketer who plays as a right-handed batter and a wicket-keeper. Andrew Flintoff
Andrew "Freddie" Flintoff (born 6 December 1977), is an English television and radio presenter and former international cricketer. Virender Sehwag (, born 20 October 1978) is a former Indian cricketer who represented India from 1999 to 2013. Holkar Cricket Stadium is located in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. It is owned and operated by Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association and serves as its headquarter. It is the home ground of Madhya Pradesh cricket team as well as MP women's team. It was formerly known as Maharani Usharaje Trust Cricket Ground. In 2010, Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association renamed it after the Holkar dynasty of the Maratha Empire that ruled Indore State. Russell Blair Tiffin (born 4 June 1959) is a Zimbabwean cricket umpire and former cricketer. He was a member of the ICC International umpire panel from 1995 to 2018 when he retired. Early life Tiffin was born in Salisbury, Southern Rhodesia (now Harare, Zimbabwe). His family were farmers in the Tengwe area in the north of the country. Madhavrao Shindhia Cricket Ground also known as Municipal Corporation Ground or Racecourse Ground is a stadium located in Rajkot, Gujarat, India.
