Engin Akyürek (born 12 October 1981) is a Turkish actor, screenwriter and author. Akyürek began his acting career in the year 2004. Having starred in many critically acclaimed series and movies, Akyürek is regarded as one of Turkey's most successful and highest paid actors. Akyürek received no official schooling for acting, stage or screen. Yet, he had a passion for writing and drama. He graduated from the history department of the language-history and geography faculty at Ankara University before he took part in the ''Türkiye'nin Yıldızları'' (''Turkey's Stars'') TV contest for acting. The ''Engin de débarquement amphibie rapide'' (EDA-R) is a class of roll-on/roll-off catamaran landing craft (L-CAT) ordered by the French Navy. They transport weapons systems, equipment, cargo and personnel of the assault elements from s to shore and across the beach. Design and development Concept design of the EDA-R began in 2000 at Constructions industrielles de la Méditerranée (CNIM) then was abandoned in 2003 and relaunched in 2008 with the full-scale Landing Catamaran (L-Cat). During the development stage, one prototype was built by Gamelin Shipyard and tested during an autonomous transfer from Saint-Malo to the Military port of Toulon. On 14 October 2008, the prototype of the L-Cat beached on the shores of Toulon. In March 2010, it offloaded a 54-ton Leclerc main battle tank at Toulon. Engin Yılmaz (born 1977) is a Turkish politician who currently serves as the President of the Conservative Ascension Party (MYP) of Turkey. Born and educated in Kumru, Ordu Province, he studied economics at Anadolu University and graduated in 2003. He later worked at Turkcell and went on to work for an international company in 2009. Atilla Engin
Atilla Engin (1946-2019) was a Turkish American fusion jazz drummer. From 1974 to 2001 he was active in Denmark as a musician and educator; he organized music festivals and represented Denmark as a musical ambassador. In 2001, he left Denmark for the United States, where he formed an orchestra. Biography Engin first played and recorded in Istanbul, moving to Copenhagen in 1974, and playing with several groups.
